Sanjay Sabnani

Chairman & CEO

Sanjay Sabnani is a serial entrepreneur and business strategist with a long-standing passion for the Internet and Technology industry and online network community building. Sabnani has been an active proponent of message boards since 2002, when he acquired General Mayhem (www.genmay.com), his first message board community.

Sabnani has occupied senior executive positions in several publicly held companies: as EVP Strategic Development at Hythiam, Inc. (NASDAQ:HYTM), as Director of Business Development and Strategy at OSI Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:OSIS), and as President and Director at Venture Catalyst, Inc. (NASDAQ:VCAT).

Sabnani achieved recognition as an expert at each company and its respective industry space, assisting in raising over $200 million in public equity financing for these companies. In addition, Sabnani has served as Chairman of the Board for two distinguished non-profits, Artwallah (arts festival) and TiE SoCAl (venture capital networking) and is also the founder of a California based charity EndDependence, which grants scholarships for addiction treatment.

Sanjay Sabnani is married with three daughters, all currently residing in Porter Ranch, California. Sabnani received his BA in English Literature from UCLA.

Gaurav Singh

VP of Operations & Finance, Director

Gaurav Singh was formerly the Director of Financial Operations for a privately-held company in the healthcare services industry. His previous experience includes the development, financial valuation and sale of a specialized health care business, Specialty Surgical Center to a publicly listed company (SMBI).

Prior to obtaining a MBA from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA, he worked for two of the "Big Four Accounting firms." He has also consulted for Hewlett Packard in the fields of e-government, CRM and Biotechnology to come up with a positioning strategy for the firm. A practicing martial artist and avid tennis player, Gaurav brings with him active hands-on experience in the development and commercializing of high growth potential companies, corporate restructures and tactical/strategic alliances.

Fernando I. Munoz

VP of Technology

Chilean born Fernando I. Munoz, is a seasoned Information Systems Engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the computer sciences field. Before moving to the United States in 1990, Munoz co-founded and served as CTO at Vecom Computacion Ltda. for 11 years.

Munoz later became the Vice President of Digital Media with Lionsgate Entertainment, implementing the first industry digital assets management system. Munoz went on to co-found the Digital Agency Group Inc, which focused on Internet marketing for major LA film studios.

In addition, Munoz has consulted for Corning Inc., Price Pfister Inc., Wedding Solutions and IBM.

Zoe Myerson

VP of Worldwide Sales

Myerson joins CrowdGather from 411 Web Interactive where she was Director of Advertising Sales and responsible for online advertising strategy. Previously, she was a co-founder of Overture (currently known as Yahoo! Search Marketing), where she was a key player in the creation of the first cost-per-click revenue model. In 1998, prior to joining GoTo.com, she successfully oversaw the growth and expansion of the southwest region for both Juno Online Services and Yahoo. In addition to her work in corporate and online sales, Myerson has served as a consultant specializing in advertising sales forecasting and competitive and market research. She launched her career as a sales representative with Newsweek Magazine, and spent almost 6 years with Playboy magazine as the Director of Adverting Sales for the Mid-West.

Heather Schlegel

Director of Community Evangelism

Heather Schlegel is an innovative Internet start-up veteran with more than 12 years of experience, contributing to more than 50 successful technology product launches. Schlegel worked for AOL as the first DHTML (AJAX) technology evangelist in 2000, and later as a product manager for AOL's AIM division. She joins Crowdgather from her technology marketing consultancy, The Purple Tornado.

Schlegel is active in many areas of society and naturally creates communities, most recently she lead the revitalization of the LA technology community by creating Geek Dinner events, which became an anchor point to launch StartupLA, Twistup, BarcampLA and many other technology events. Heather Schlegel has been featured in the LA Times for her efforts in the LA Tech Community and has spoken at various industry conferences.
