Hello,
I am not on either Facebook or MySpace, but would like to be on one.
Does anyone have suggestions as to why one might be better than the other?
I would like to re-connect with friends as my primary motive for joining.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I prefer facebook - easy to use - very popular social networking site! Easy to set up your page.

facebook is so much better because there is much less spam and the people that add you really know you.

I have to say that Facebook is better. Before when I signed up for an account in Facebook, there were only members. But only after for a few months, they already generated a lot of member, as in a lot! People liked it maybe because it's interface is clean and it's not only typical social networking site, it's also a site where you can play games and there are also different applications to choose from and I'm sure you'll enjoy about it.
There's this application I really like, it's called Pixisnap application in Facebook. It's an app wherein you can make polaroids using your pictures. Sounds cute, right? Yes it is, really! You can do a lot of things using your picture like customizing it so it will look so much better and there are cute designs too.
Try it and see it for yourself by visiting: http://apps.facebook.com/pixisnap
I'm sure you'll enjoy as much as I did! :D

I used to use both Myspace and Facebook because the majority of my friends only used Myspace. But there was so much spam on myspace and unless you liked fiddling aroundd with HTML it was pretty boring and hard to customise your profile page 9well, it was when i joined)
Facebook is a lot easier to use, everyone goes by their real names so it's very easy to find people. Theres always something to do if you get bored aswell. The whole interface is very tidy and well laid out. I now only use myspace and very rarely check on myspace.

Like most, I've got an account with both. But I've practically all-out ditched my MySpace page. It's frilly and there's a lot you can do with it, but if you're shooting for genuine networking, Facebook is my recommendation. As someone said above, you'll find that after joing Facebook, in just a short period of time you'll have old acquaintances finding you. It's pretty amazing how it works.
Besides, seems like Facebook has the "social momentum" right now and you'll find that in your other online experiences there are more Facebook options. For example... Squidoo lenses. They have a nifty Facebook add-on built right in.
Warning: If you haven't previously played around much on these sites, it's addictive!!!
