View Full Version : Sigs?
We have a lot of people who post and contribute, but have spammy-type links in their sigs.
I'd hate to ban them if they're contributing, but of course they get to advertise with their sig with every post they make.
How would people feel about having sigs turned off?

I'm not bothered about having them turned off, but what do you see as spammy? Are mine? My blog is just another part of what I like to write about, if I'm not writing it in here, and my Etsy shop is the indie designer part of me.
If the signature isn't to be turned off, you can state prior to people filling it in, to what is allowed and what isn't.

I'd say turn them off, many times they confuse readers into thinking it part of the post. And many times they're just tacky looking.

Brilliant, so we can't link to blogs, social networks, websites (non advert)? How about a proper T&C/Rules/Conduct page and enforce spam, advertising, linking that way? http://www.thefashionspot.com/terms | http://www.thefashionspot.com/community

No need to get pissy. I'm only looking for opinions.
There's a homepage section under Profile.
I did ask what you wanted out of a T&C but you didn't get back to me.

Trust me, if I get pissy you'll know it... Yes I did ask and thanks for pointing it out but what's in place doesn't cover the forum for much at the very least its a first scratch/rough draft. Something more enforcible is required, sure tFS is the obvious but see any forum styleform.net, howardforums.com etc. something that should be addressed sooner than later.
