What about a SALE'S thread? Spammers can hit it and it might be good if we occasionally can look at it for clothing sale's and sample sales....it might redirect spam...

This would be a terrific idea for the administrators if there is a spam problem on the forums.
From the looks of things, they seem to be okay.

I actually sent a message to The Big Guy about it before your thread was made, but he's been super busy so I'm still waiting for him to get back to me.

If it were anything other than advertising, I would just do ahead and do it. But I want to get the offical OK first incase he has some special rules he wants.

Oh this is a lot better than how I was doing it before, putting it in the Indie Designers bit.

I have a question about the rules though, you say no linking, is that just to other forums?

I.e, I have items for sale on another website, where it can be bought, so I can put a link to it? It has my feedback and everything else there etc.

If you're a member and have a webpage where your stuff is for sale, I don't care if you link to it.
I think the original intent was just to sell individual items here, but if we have a thread in the indie designer forum where they can link to their sites, I don't see any sense in not letting them do that in D&S.


But you're not allowed to link to auction type sites like ebay. You can link to your feedback there, but not an auction.

That's a great idea, but how would the seller/buyer's be protected from fraud?
