do you think exclusivty is important to a brand.
do you avoid some brands because you feel it is not exclusive, too main stream?
are there any brands that you feel have totally lost the exclusivity allure?/

Yes.

No, because the ones that are "mainstream" I avoid because I don't like their clothes.
are there any brands that you feel have totally lost the exclusivity allure?/
LV. Maybe Gucci.

- Of course! .. the more exclusive something is, the more people want it. Well, majority of people.. I usually end up wanting things people don't, because that way, it is then exclusive to myself!
- Hmm.. it's a broad question.. and my reply is the same as Edens'.
- I instantly thought of Louis Vuitton. I see it as such a tacky brand now.

I think obvious "branding" is tacky. Style is totally different, and doesn't need a name stamped all over it to show it off. By the way - some people recognize the style without the branding - some people just go for the big words.

A brand is like the U.S. dollar the more there are, the less valuable they become.
