So I've got a job where I'm required to stand for long periods of time. I'm the type of girl who will wear a shoe to be sexy, even if it kills my feet. However, I'm thinking of picking up some inserts...but I'm unsure of whether or not they work.
My past experiences with inserts has been not so great.
I want to know if anyone has any recommendations for this. I'm looking for something that I can put in a pair of heels...so my feet don't hurt by the end of the day.
Thanks everyone!

If you want to wear heels for long hours you should maybe look more towards the style rather than to add to it? What shoe do you currently have in mind?
Heels with a little platform at the front, counteract the heel height, I've always found them so comfortable so maybe not to go for anything too extreme in height if it doesn't have the front platform.
In regards to shoe inserts, I find them to work brilliantly. I have small feet, UK 3 / US 5-ish .. and some styles are still just too big, so I use shoe inserts, hang on, when you say inserts, you mean the whole sole dont you? Where you buy the pack and cut out your size?
Anyway, they pad my feet, making it very soft!.. and in winter, I found some fleece ones! .. therefore, because of the extra room it takes up, there's no room for my feet to rub.

Could you show me some pictures of what you may have in mind?
I went shoe shopping yesterday but ended up getting a few pairs of shoes that I didn't even intend on purchasing!
I am looking for some new shoes that are more functional...meaning that I can wear them with skinny jeans/pants or even a skirt or dress...because I do wear them a lot. I would prefer some sort of heel.
As for the shoe inserts, thanks, I think I'm going to go to the store and check them out. I'll probably pick some up for sure, it doesn't hurt to try. Plus, I'm sure they have evolved a lot since I've last tried them.
Thanks again for your input! I appreciate it.

try a nicole or a me too, they are stylish but have thick padding inside of them so they are really comfy.

try using feet pading.. it's a good choice for your high heels problem. plus it is soft and comfortable.

i would say use feet padding by footpetals. Its pretty cushy. I have the same problem with shoes and comfort.

High heels are not comfortable to a long time standing period, try to wear a flats or anything that is comfortable, safety first before looks.
I like wearing Sunglasses (http://www.sunglassesuk.com/) in my work and I'm comfortable with it.

We all know high heels get more uncomfortable the longer you stand in them. Have you considered trying Elevator Shoes (http://www.itallershoes.com)? They still give you the height while giving your foot more support. You may find that your feet last longer in these types of shoes.

thats right, flats are much comfortable than heels. so, you should prefer using flats.
