hi there,
it seems there are error messages when people are creating posts on the forum. this is due to some edits that were made in the original skin/design. so we'll be upgrading the forum to fix this. hopefully it'll happen shortly.
thanks

Yes actually in order to remove spammers from the site and discourage them from ruining a very nice forum we have posted a ban on links until you have posted X amount of posts. Sorry if this is a problem for a lot of newbies but we are sick of going through everyday and deleting half the posts on the forum. We would rather interact instead. Thank you for your patience.

hi there,
it seems that the plugin for the ban on URL's was causing the forum problems. i've disabled it for now, and will look into adding another solution for this.
for now though, the errors on posting are fixed, but if anyone gets any more, can they reply here and let me know what they say.
thanks

hi there
ok ive popped a new plugin into the forum, so that anyone with less than 10 posts, if they try to post a url in their post, the post will be sent to the moderation queue.
if theres any errors now when posting, can you let me know, and i'll disable the plugin to make sure thats not the cause.
many thanks

well dang, i just got an error on posting. i had to disable it.
ill try installing another skin on the forum to see if that might be adding to the cause of the problem.

nope, that didnt work. i'm going to have to try disabling the plugins one by one to find out where the conflict is.

hi there,
the logo is still at the top of the forum, unless im thinking of the wrong banner?
im still working on fixing this spamming issue, also, i'll be designing a new skin for the forum once this is fixed.
thanks

ok, thats it fixed. ive installed another plugin, which works, and doesnt cause errors.
what it does is filter out any posts with URL's in, from users with less than 10 posts, and puts them in a moderation queue, so they can be vetted for spam.
admins to the forum should get notice about these threads, so they can vet them. i also get notice of them too, so can delete any spam as necessary, if the other admin arnt available.
i'll make a start on the custom forum design now, and that should be that :)
