Hi, as was stated in the thread title, I am wondering what kind of color of boots will go well with a good pair of dark blue denim boot-cut jeans?

So far, I have only stuck to the safe color of black since black shoes are the darkest color, therefore it will fit almost all jeans conservatively (as a rule of thumb). However, recently, I was thinking of purchasing a new pair of boots of a different color, something that's more contrasting to the black ones that I already have. I was thinking of white/bone color; here's the exact one that I am looking at and considering.

What do you guys/gals think about the bone-colored boots displayed above? Is that too contrasting when worn with dark-colored (but not black) jeans or pants? Is the color suitable to be worn for almost all occasions?

I was also considering this one as well but of a lesser purchase preference than the above bone-colored pair. This pair however is white-colored, even more contrasting.

Of the 2 pairs, which is more appropriate? I need one that I can wear not just for special occasions but also for casual day/night meet-ups (like a movie outing with the gals, etc) as well as for more dressy occasions.

Thanks all for your invaluable feedback. :)

I'm pretty anal when it comes to shoes and colors. I refuse to wear black with blue, remind me of a bruise... I like to where brown, cream, camel or tan colored shoes with jeans, especially blue.

no. 1 is better because if you get number 2. the color can bleed onto the white leather and stain it. If the color bleeds over on number one it won't look as bad. I like the deep dark indigo and raw denim colors and having white shoes next to them is a bad idea.

I prefer the first pair of boots to the second. Both styles will be suitable for any occassions, I believe. However, wearing pearly-white-colored boots makes you look too "bright" and it calls for so much attention.
