Yes you actually can but the prices often range around 20,000 dollars and up. Its really expensive but you are buying unique clothing that is not made in multiples and if there is more than one they made 10 at most.

$20k....that's for the couture right? What if it's for the Ready-to-Wear collections?

Wait three months and you'll find a similar item from the fashion shows on the racks of Primark.

Yes you can actually buy clothes from fashion shows if you have money at your disposal. But a cheap way is copying the dress and getting the design to a local tailor in a way you are still wearing the clothes in the fashion shows.

Well, wish and reality is always two different extreme. Unless I have money, I rather keep my wishes aside! :P
I just wonder whether anyone here willing to spend $20K just for a designer cloth?

I wont dare buy those because it costs too much.. maybe I'm going to wait for something that is more similar to those clothes that they wear in fashion shows..

same here... i wont dare to buy...its too expensive...
i would rather design my own clothes.
Sometimes things straight off the runway pop up in the strangest of places; you just need to keep your eye out.

That's a good way to be practical...
same here,, given a chance to have that much of money to spend for just a single pair of clothes, i would probably buy them, but for now, honestly, I think I'll go for the replica one,,

 Well, if you really have the money, you can buy it. But in practical way, you can have that kind of designs in lowest cost if you capture the design and go to the tailor and give the design in order to be the tailor make it for you. Well, about the materials, buy the material which is exactly the same into the design in the Fashion show.

find a way to contact the designer. i think they usually only make one of the runway design at first because it is like a preview of the upcoming season. so the best way to find the piece is to ask the designer and be willing to pay a little extra if you want it right away.

Can you buy the Reiss 1971 limited edition T Shirts at London Fashion week? Surely they wouldn't fetch as much as $20,000

I suspect, some of the most luxury brands, you can't. Some are custom build only for some big name.

I always get the impression that with the luxury brands what you see on the catwalk is more like a concept rather than something that the wider audience is expected to wear. Unless you're rich and famous.

I agree with you!
For people who are not popular and rich.. Better think of another way to be fabulous!
Practicality is important for us..

All designers are different. For example: Couture shows are a showcasing of ideas and then each piece is cut individually onto the customers body and altered as they wish.
Huge high fashion designers with large business backing such as those under the LVMH group will be able to afford to go into huge production with all their accessories going into production too.
Companies with smaller budgets have to compromise.. Accessories may only be for catwalk and will not make it to shops. Clothes must be altered to make them available to mass production.
Some designers do not do mass production and instead make a limited run.
It all becomes quite clear when you look at individual brands.. for example looking at their websites and looking at their online stockists.
