Lately, i noticed that the fashion-houses are producing their *french* fragrances using Arabic ingredients, they want to have the result of an Arabic Scent like the one we traditionally use at home like *Oud, Dehn Oud, Ma'amoul, Musk* and so on..So what we usually do is that we use our arabic scents first then spray a bit of french perfumes, so we have a good comibation..
Now they are simply making it short, the perfume is all ready, a mix of french and arabic perfumes..
Some of the well known *arabic scented* perfumes:
+Oud Wood, Black Orchid by Tom Ford.
+ Soir de Lune by Sisely.
+ M.micallef perfumes.
and few that i tried by Guerlain..
Now as an arab we can easily buy those perfumes, and they are the best selling in our countries..but what about the rest of the world? as far as i know not all ppl like other's traditional scents..how do the Europe, America or even Asia think about those perfumes? do you think they're good? will you use them?
The funny thing, those perfumes are sold in really higher prices than the other perfumes..!! I think they have this idea that arab can pay anything for anything..!! lol..

The western markets are awash with cheap branded perfumes that are endorsed by celebrities and artists and the typical consumer is unaware of its smell or origin and will no doubt recieve one as a gift for a particular celebration. Most are unaware of 'arabic' perfumes and the ones that are have only got as close as the gift pages in an in-flight magazine.
It would be nice for the multi national retailers to accept that these 'arabic' perfumes are truely magnificent, with a wondeful aroma. Perhaps then, I might recieve one from Santa this Christmas.

Speaking from someone who is in the states, i would say i like it a lot. More than anything if i am using any fragrance with the Arabic ingredients, i use it more for the nightlife. The ladies in the night clubs i meet love the smell. I like the smell too, but i think its a bit of an intimate scent. During the daytime i switch to a less intimate more sporty scent so i don't get too tired of the smell.

I love scents that are different from all those Gucci and all that jazz. I recently got interested in Egyptian essential oils and I love them! here you may see some information on them: Egyptian Essential Oils (http://www.jurgita.com/articles-id2351.html)

Most of the Gucci fragrances use arabic scent extracts as a main ingredient in making their scents last longer.
