I need opinions on a pair of booties I'm considering purchasing. Decision amongst my girlfriends is split.

Pluses: Great color, Great shape--hybrid bootie/heel with a 1940's feel (hard to explain) that works with my current wardrobe.

Minuses: Are they too trendy for a 34-year-old woman? I'm not trying to get a gig on MTV or anything. And, of course, will they make me look like a tree trunk? Booties look great on Kate Moss but typically make curvier girls look stout.

Check 'em out and let me know what you think: Jeffrey Campbell Mabel Grey Suede - Jildor Shoes, Since 1949 (http://www.jildorshoes.com/product.cfm/hurl/Mabel_Grey_Suede/PI=50249)

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Hi i think if you like them there is no reason why you should not purchase them, i dont think you are to old for them, i am 46 & female but if i really liked something i would buy it, these shoes are fine for your age, yes treat yourself.

Ha ha... amandasi! I just replied to you on another forum with the same question! I guess we hit the same haunts, huh? :)

In case you check this one first, I basically said yeah, go for it. You're _certainly_ not too old for it (I'm 34 as well!) and I personally had never thought that booties were bad for curvy girls. I think they look good.
