Sock problem

I'm basically clueless when it comes to the basics of fashion. Mainly, shoes.

I need dress shoes and think the open fronted ones are really nice looking but being in the northern u.s with extreme winters, i'm not sure how you could survive in those without socks. What is the 'proper' way to wear those shoes?

well to me, i'd wear them both ways. cause it'll look cute with or without socks.. but it may be a but harder to walk with socks though. <3

i prefer wearing socks so my feet wont get any blisters, but i dont wear the normal socks. I always go for colored lace socks, either ankle length or the ones that only covers the feet itself. there is also a trendy solution, i found them at London's Selfridges, its a small piece of colored lace that has a cushion from below, so you wear it and will only covers a small part in the middle of your feet, just right after the front of your shoes. its really nice..

You could wear them with or without socks.

If you're affraid of getting blisters but don't want to wear a full cotton sock, you could wear panty hose socks. They protect your feet while appear more 'dressy' than regular socks.

cant you get those socks that girls where with dollys shoes that just cover your toes and thats it ?
