I have a bit of acne and was wondering what makeup you all think is best to keep my skin as clear as possible.

Thanks!

I had some acne in HS, and I used mac. it's not cheap, but it's awesome! I think the key is don't try to cover up your blemishes with tons of concealer and foundation. Just lightly powder your face with lose powder and a brush! Make sure you wash your brushes at least once a month with shampoo and water (this will wash the oils away). It is also crucial that you wash your face twice a day. Make-up (even really good and light make-up), when left on over night WILL clog pores.

hope this helps! :)

i'd suggest (if you can gain access to it!) to use rimmel's face powders & concealers. i have issues with skin also, and they seem to work wonders for me :)

if u got bad acne, go docs and sort it out!

covering it all up in makeup will probably make your acne flare up even more in my opinion.

When people have spots and cover it up with makeup and don't know how to do it properly, it can look really disgusting and caked up and crusty.. *vomit*

although it is kind of expensive, I've used Bobby Brown forever, and i have pretty flawless skin, not to brag, but, they have great colors for all skin tones, and I wear it all day every day, for the most part. (the bronzer, that is)

For me I think its better if you wouldnt apply make up, I agree with fashion noob, it will make your acne flare even more. Go to the doctor and sort it out, you can also wash your face whenever your face gets oily. Good luck and take care :)

Expensive make up isn't always the best option (even though it does make a difference depending on the brand). The essential part of good skin is to properly wash your face after a day full of clogged pores, damaging UV rays and everything else the environment shoot at out hair and skin everyday! Instead of spending more money on make-up find a good face wash and astringent that will take care of your face before and after make-up application. Also, moisturizing your skin before you put on your make up will avoid the peely-effect acne tends to deliver, and makes your make-up last longer! And as fashionoob said, if all else fails go seea dermatologist!

Hope i was helpful!

Honestly one of the best solutions to remedy acne...and prevent scars and future breakouts... is keep your skin on a regular routine. Cleanse, tone and moisturize in the morning before makeup... then at the end of the day...cleanse tone and moisturize after.

If you have access to a Sephora, or Fragrance, Cosmetics & the Finest Facial Skin Care Product Selection at Sephora.com (http://www.sephora.com)... you can see a line of dermatologist approved products...
Peter Thomas Roth is great for acne prone skin.
And over the counter more affordable priced face washes like Neutrogena or Cetaphil are great.

All this and try to wear oil free makeup. Try mineral makeup; a loose powder that goes on just heavy enough to smooth lines and cover blemishes.

I use a mineral makeup powder by Lali and it's seriously changed the condition of my skin drastically. In a good way of course.
