How many pairs of shoes do you own?

I've been scolded by the boyfriend to not buy anymore shoes (even though I have another pair on their way in the mail). I have 56 pairs of shoes right now and I can't help but feel that I'm still missing that "perfect pair". haha. I'm curious - go in your closet now and count how many shoes you have. This isn't a contest so please be honest. Thanks!

hahaha...my boyfriend too! We just moved, and he saw how many boxes of shoes I had to pack and he instructed me to not buy anymore! I have more than 50 pairs as well...what can I say....I LOVE shoes! The funny thing is, right before we moved, his mom took me shopping and bought me 3 more pair of shoes....I had a good laugh! :)

oh last year i was cleaning my closet and i after that i counted them and they were around 45 after cleaning, now i have to count them again..! my only problem with shoes is that i dont have enough space for them. some of them are in their boxes inside 3 closets, some of them are kept in bags, and some are just everywhere on the floor, so most of the time i tend to forget what i really have from shoes if i am going somewhere and looking for a specific color.

I used to have so many shoes that I forgot about them. When I would find them they would be out of date. What a waist of money. Now I try to have 2-3 pairs per occasion. Casual, everyday, comfortable. Professional and stylish. Fancy, go out on the town. I buy better quality and more stylish shoes and I wear them to death. Once they start to look ratty, I replace them. I find that I enjoy my shoe collection better than being overwhelmed, with too many to choose from and organize!

As of now, I own 10, because I recently donated a lot my shoes last month. Buying shoes is very important for me because I believe that no matter how pretty you look in your dress or outfit if your shoes doesn't match,it's a disaster! It's also important that you own at least one pair for every occasion. You don't want to crumble the last minute you'll need a shoe for an occasion.

In 2007 when I got married, we moved from Philly to Texas and as I packed my things I counted my shoes. At that time I had 267 pairs of shoes. I'm not proud and it opened my eyes that I needed a more compact shoe closet. I opened an eBay store sold most of them and now I only have 44 pair of shoes so I think you are right on track:)
