Did anyone find that extra size handbags are in fashion now? Do you like it? I bought one. I think huge bags make me look slimer, especially in summer. I like it!;)

I'm loving this Marni Balloon handbag at £759. Its an awsome colour and the varnised leather is right on trend too.

Good good! Mine is a brown woven leather bag. Under the weave, there is a layer of shinny paillete. :p

Last winter I bought this Cerre bag at Scout in LA for $1100. It has been with me across the atlantic 8 times now and dragged mercislessly around Paris and Copenhagen in the worst of conditions and it barely looks broken in. The leather is amazing and I can't wait to see what it will look like in 10 years. On their site now there is another bag I think may be even bigger than this one and I am dying to get my hands on it.

Hi Snowwhite, I'm not wealthy although I am working on it :D my job takes me all over and I was so tired of the normal carry-ons that everyone had, they were either too corporate or too flashy. The Cerre bag was expensive (for me) but in comparison to some of the other designers Balenciaga and even Marni it is about the same. The problem is that it is so big that when I fill it up for a trip it can sometimes be too heavy, I guess I will just have to get a little stronger! How we suffer for fashion! Which huge bag did you buy?

Hi Verra Bruno, I understand you so well! I filled my huge bag up for a trip. It was so heavy and my arms had been sore for five days! But we all love it. This is my huge bag.:p

it doesn't mean when you're wearing a huge bag you can put all things there and full it.. you can wear it with some of your accesories.. like wallet, cellphone, make up.. :)

Agree to that! But we can't deny the fact that huge bag is "In" in fashion industry today, so no matter how hazardous it is, they still love to carry it.. Especially those celebs icon..

I'm not a fan of huge bags - all it does is allow you to pile more stuff in it so that it becomes ridiculously heavy. And you can never find what you're looking for inside it because there's so much other crap to shuffle through!

At the same time, I hate teeny tiny bags that you can't fit anything in!

I like a reasonably sized, functional but good looking purse. Maybe I'm too sensible for fashion? lol

^^ yeah.
myy friend came over wiith this HUGE i mean HUGE silver bag & she lefft it undaa my bed. when she was leaving i picked it up for her & it weighed a TONNE. i swear i nearly tripped with it but she grabbed it like it didnt weigh a micro gram. goshh. i need to start eating more LOL. or at least drink milk. FAT FREE milk. =]

&ThatAmericanGirl, i have to so agree with the huge bag & small bag thing. but i own a lot of small bags & normal sized bags. like the main big one i have is really cool & see through & i use it as my school bag = D
anyhoO. normall sized bags the best.
~small bags i can only fit my phone/lip gloss/ mirror/ wallet.
~big bag - sunnies/wallet/lip gloss/mirror/ emergency hair stuff/ ipod/jewelry/ hairbrush.
its more annoying when theyy donthave muuch pockets. argh,

Perfect for work...can bring everything from my travel mug, make up to cold medicine in it and still have room. Just takes getting used to. I recommend large leather or faux leather bags. They are perf for hauling stuff!
Plus you can get them in different styles, with different added embellishments. Makes for a sexier bag!

Having lived in cities like NYC and San Francisco... you trade your deluxe car for a deluxe hand bag. If you have the wrong bag, or something that doesn't look nice with your outfit... it may ruin a first impression; job interview, first date, meeting the parents etc...

I love larger totes because they are useful. You can have all your necessitites in one place...

Yes, that's right.. Larger totes are very reliable to use since they can accommodate most of your personal belongings.... ;)

Everyone loves a designer handbag, but not everyone can afford one...
I just discovered Trendy handbags, Popular Purses, Celebrity Styles & Wholesale Handbags at Baghaus.com (http://www.baghaus.com), which is an awesome site that sells bags, modeled after designer brands...

Also you might like Frugal-Fashionista (http://www.frugal-fashionista.blogspot.com) for ideas.

I have to differ with those who hate large bags.... I'm in favor of them all the time!!! I especially love them in the Summer, when I want to spend the whole day at the beach and want to have everything from home at my disposal. You'll hardly ever see me without a curling iron or flat iron in my bag! In fact, I'm searching online for my next big Summer bag now :-)

Oh man, I'm looking for a few different looks, actually. I'm into the "Safari Look" that's hot right now, but not all the safari prints and things on clothes looks great on me. I figured I'd be safe with a safari inspired bag. I'm also looking for a really fun colorful bag that would look hot on the beach. I'm really picky about the type of material my bags are made out of too... I don't like anything too stiff. If it's a bag, than I'd like it to very easily and naturally hangs from my shoulder. Does that make sense? Or is that completly retarded??!!!

If you are looking for something easy and beachy that is a tote or a larger bag I would try Harajuku Lovers. People are addicted to these because they have tons of different prints but aren't totally 'Look at me I carry Louis Vuitton' kind of bag.
For the middle of the road kind of canvas bag thats pretty you can try something like this that is a canvas print without being boring by having some kind of sequins like this
http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff56/planetfunkblog/Forum%20stuff/PFpoppybag.jpg
or cool handle or buttons on it.
Animal print? I totally recommend Betseyville's new stuff. Kind of punk rock without being uncivilized and has tons of pockets and comes in bright blues and pinks.
Or I would recommend maybe a faux leather tote with some kind of embellishment on it or in a metallic look. Kind of gives it flair without getting too boring.
I have a bright blue bag in faux leather I carry for that and a purple faux snakeskin one I carry now for the huge but fun bag effect.

I really love big bags! I only carry big bags because I put so much stuff in them! My favorite bag is from Coach the ergo tote in extra large it is in a camel color leather. it goes with everthing. Another one of my favorite bags is the hampton tote, I have that in black and it is a great bag as well.
