I love Tiffany&co! My fiance and I already went to have a look. I am really considering it! I think their normal diamond rings are more stunning than their enagement rings.

But I work for a pearl shop currently. I can get discount for everything there. But I am not into pearl rings.:(Maybe I will consider a layering white pearl strand...

Does anyone have suggestions for me on brands of rings? Please!

:p

I personally think people should design their own wedding rings or something passed down from the family, I find it nice and sentimental (although I only ever see the latter happening in films!) .. the thought of buying wedding rings from one of the most well known brands is a bit tedious and materialistic for me .. although it'll be a very good investment for the future.

A wedding ring is quite an investment for a guy and I found myself pre-engagement browsing local jewelery stores with the wife to be to get a feel for what she would like. I did stop into Tiffany & Co. but found they were over priced and limited in the customization I wanted. I ended up going to a reputable jeweler whom I purchased the princess cut diamond from 1.24 and set it in a platinum solitaire setting which had a bit of three bands in it that I liked. When your spending 2-3mo's of salary you should get what you want IMHO

Yes! Your idea sound really romantic! I like to design jewelry sometimes for fun, then why not seriously design one together with my FH for ourselves! Thank you for the idea:p

Tiffany is really a little over priced, that's why we hold back a bit. It is something meaningful for a lifetime. It doesn't need to be a brand name, as long as it is what we like and from a reliable shop.

Exactly the ring and the moment should be the memory, not the designer in IMHO.

brand...is not important when buying engagement and wedding rings! Honestly...when someone looks at your ring and says "OMG it's so beautiful" are you really going to reply and say "yeah, it's from Tiffany's (or any other brand)"? I personally would not. I would browse all brands to find the style you want, then go with the exect one, or bigger one, or shinier one, or less expesive. I would not pick an engagement/wedding ring based on brand. It should be something from the heart, afterall, you'll wear it forever!

PS...congrats on the wedding!

Thank you! :)
I now realize brand is not the first thing. But I am a kind of brand-loyal consumer, ha ha. Once I like some brand, I will stick to it and only trust it. Or you can say I am a kind of lazy person;) .

Yes. Wedding ring is so important. We should look all the shops around. Even we should try to design our own! As long as it is special between us! :D

I hear ya..I'm brand loyal too! Most of my nice jewlery is Tiffany and Co, just cuz I know for a FACT I'm getting great quality items. But once again...there are so many other great brands out there! Good luck, and have fun shopping around! Keep us posted for sure! :)

I bought my GF a wedding ring online (at this website (http://www.abazias.com)). We really didn't care for spending thousands of dollars more for a name brand ring. In face by staying away from the name brands I was able to get a lot more rock for my buck.
