Why are all the desginers on the poll names that everyone just throws around how about some diversity. Do you not know of anyother lesser known high-end designers?

Betsey Johnson
Chloe
Stella McCartney
Roberto Cavalli
Dolce & Gabbana
Balenciaga
Miu Miu
Alberta Ferreti
Anna Sui
Laundry by Shelli Segal

I agree that everyone probably knows who D&G is but it seems to me that people just keep writting the same names down time and time again, like their are not other designers other than Juicy, Gucci, and Prada. These are the designers that are known, which makes one wonder, does anyone really shop/buy designer wear, or do they just talk about designers they know of?

You don't like Balenciaga???

sister2paris..sometimes we only talk about things that we buy, i know alot of designer by name only but i never get the chance to buy any of them..for example i love Chloe bags but each time i wanna buy one they're out of stock..i love it by name but i dont have it in realy, that's so sad.. :( oh and btw i can never buy desinger clothes, i just feel its a waste of money, i will only do it when i will go mad about something, i can pay for bags and shoes buy not clothes..

sister2paris ... Some ppl are really buying designer clothes, but there are some of us [ like me ] that just talk about it :S cuz we're still in school>_<
And its too expensive for us [ now ] ... :(
I love fashion, and I'm just searching for new designer trends, but I'm never gonna buy designer clothes now ...

Juicy is so young. It's hard to determine where it will go from here. As far as Balenciaga is concerned, it's not an uncommon look that is generally the same, unfortunately. Not necessarily all of their things look the same, but they're collection is not special to me. It looks a lot like D&G but a little more innovative.

For real?

I've never worn perfume, or any designer cologne, the exception has been gio and red... honest!

i loved balenciaga's pre-fall 08, and fall 07, but the spring collection this year was a total bore to me. i noticed some similarities between different pieces in the fall show, and maybe i should've expected that in his spring show.. probably the only thing different in the pieces are the cuts and lengths of the sleeves and dress. (you can tell i like variety. ha ha!)
but anyway..
my favourite designers aren't on there!!
i'm currently in love with erin fetherson, 3.1 phillip lim, valentino, betsey, mcqueen, and galliano.
