Hello Everybody!!!
Can anyone give me a clue of what is comming this summer for jewelry? What is the next trend for high fashion boutique style jewelry??
What is the best way to buy jewelry. Also, I was planning to visit the "Accessories The Show" and " Accessories Circuit" Is that a good thing? Which show is better? I 've never been to either one. I want to star searching for unique/exclusive jewelry designers. Thank you very much!!!

The summer trneds for jewelry are going to be big, chunky necklaces and bright contrasting colors. Trendygal.com has some nice pieces right now, and if you use the discount code free5 during checkout, you will get $5 off your entire order.

Well, this is self-promotion, but check out my website (there's a link at the bottom). I also have an Ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/studiog and there's a lot of good jewelry on Ebay at good prices. Chunky is good, but Indian and Boho are still going strong!

I think that chunky but feminine is in. You see a lot of these big necklaces that are using quite delicate metals. Or, chunky bracelets in feminine colours. Hoope this isn't against the rules, but I just posted in the jewelry section a new designer I found that has beautiful rings (and other stuff, but I only bought a ring). Its called Pinks Cocktail (http://www.pinkscocktail.com). Great jewelry and really plays to that chunky but feminine look I've been seeing with their beaded rings.

Boho is out!!!! Feminine/Romantic looks are in for the summer, so is nautical/sporty. I think that using non-traditional items as jewelry will be big this summer, for example using a colorful scarf as a bracelet.

Hi LeLis and Cluny. I think I will indulge in a little self-promotion too. Cluny, I see you're a IJDG member. I need to get back in the circle. I just moved across the pond to the UK about 3 months ago. Like your work, too Cluny.
LeLis, if you want to see more hand-crafted jewellery and you like bead jewellery, go here: http://andreaguiderajewels.tripod.com
Let me know your comments. Thanks!

The big African beads are going out for the summer. Go with jewelry that is colorful, smaller beads. Both long necklaces and shorter ones are in right now. Also, try wearing two or more necklaces.
Also, you might want to get some big, fun, colorful rings and broches. They are in too.

I didn't see it mentioned yet, but jewelry made with clear crystal is also going to be hot for summer 2007, too. I'm a jewelry designer as well, and picked up some aboslultey gorgeous faceted crystal beads that I've used to make some flashy cocktail rings rings.
I also think organically stylized metal jewelry is going to be big, and I know I saw it mentioned before, but bright, candy colored pieces and more super feminine filigree pieces are also in the forecast.

Another self promo, I make custom wooden jewelry mostly wood rings. But I do make a few other things and yes big is in. I have many woods to make custom things in and I'm always looking for another project so if you have an idea you want to come to life, let me know.
