Sequin Belts

I live in a very small town in Texas, so I was just wondering or Sequin Belts and purses actully "in". And, if they are, how are you supposed to where them? Some where them below the but, some on their stomach, and some people where them like a normal belt. So, I guess I need to know 2 things:

1. Are sequin belts and purses really in?
2.If yes, what is the most populer way to where them?

yes the belts are still in stlye you can were them anyway you feel confortable with it also doesnt matter what others think it just matters how you feel 8)

Honestly sequin belts and purses have been "in" with the younger crowd for awhile and I look for them to be going "out" soon. They are a fad and with every fad, it fades. My advice is don't buy to many, they are not going to be around long enough to justify buying one in every color right now.

I know they are going out because the big named department stores and boutiques (Saks, Neiman, Nordstroms, etc.) are starting to clearance them out. High end department stores usually carry the trendsetters and then the smaller chains follow suit.

I bought a silver sequin belt from Gap not too long ago.

They were definnitely in this winter and you could still pull it off with the right outfit into spring and summer. If you are thinking about buying one, though, I would say go for a fun color such as bright yellow (definitely the "it" color this spring), orange, or kelly green.

As for how to wear it, I would say to wear it over a long tee with some jean capris or bermuda shorts.

Also, the sequin hobo bags were in this winter, but out now. I never really liked them anyway.

i know they're on but i didnt like them, they look like so bellydancer style, but you can wear the belt in any style you want, its only a belt, i can see that what's really on is wide belts that fits just below the breats :S looks nice thought but not for those who got big ones..

To be honest I have a black one which is quite thick and it depends on my outfit as to where abouts I wear it.
If I'm wearing a lovely top which has a certain cut or detail that the belt wouldn't flatter higher up I just wear it as an ordinary belt to pull out the detail on the top as it sparkles ...
However if I'm wearing a reasonably plain top or a loose fitting top I wear it around the waist or just bellow the breast depending on where it looks best to liven the top and show off my figure which could otherwise be hidden.

working in a nightclub exposes me to a lot of this type of fashion, more than i can take sometimes. :wink:

i've been seeing this style for about a year? or so now, and it dropped off in the midwest
at the beginning of winter. i've seen the belts, bags, and tops in dept stores,
malls, and (lately) even walgreens drug stores.

if you can pull it off go for it, but be aware that the clubs are saturated with it.

some people do wear sequin belts and purses but they aren't particularly fashionable... they're more pre-teen-like also... I would get a big belt and yes people wear them around their buts or a little higher.

i found sequin belts at Bershka, i donno if you got this shop but i loved them i got one in dark brown..its really gorgious with long plain tops..and its like a high belt not the one u wear with pants..

yea of course they're still in1 i've got 2 of them...and i usually wear them with jeans or longish tops

I have a dark pink one I bought on my first American shopping trip. I don't wear it much anymore........I would say they are out of style.
