I didn't say that you were a show off if you wore skinny jeans. I said that I hated them. My personal opinion. I just think that they look stupid unless a slender, long-legged woman is wearing them with high heels. Most people are not fortunate enough to have all three.

I am so into skinny jeans, so much so that I cant wear any other style of jeans or trousers! I put on bootcut jeans the other morning, and it was a big no no! I'm sure it is a phases though!

I dislike strange pants like skinny jeans (though, they look great on Kate Moss with balerinas) or GAUCHOS (not "guachos"!!!, it comes from the name of the argentinian cowboys), or high waisted.
For men and women, the trousers and jeans when used too low are awful, not flattering at all. Then women look like they have lots of fat in the waist and no hips, and men look like jerks with no butt at all.
I am also bored with the folk look, really, lets move on!

I'm a guy and I have many Men's Skinny jeans and they are awesome. I also have some slim straights if i feel like slouching my jeans really low on my hips (lol that sounded girlish)

BUT THE TREND I HATE THE MOST IS ..............LEGGINGS AND BELTS OVER SOMETHING!! I HATE IT.

I remember the first time i saw the belt over something. It was hawt. But now it's literrally everywhere I turn i see a durn belt over some clothing.

And going back to skinnys...I love my skinnys but now people are starting to wear them. At first people hated them, and the people who hated them are starting to wear them. I'm like...WTH. I along with 3 other girls started to wear them last year. S/S 05 and thats pretty early when they started coming in around Late 04. But I'm really liking my Slim Straights which I can slouch. I like how fashion with men is caught up with women and now is going hand in hand. Slouch jeans for men is everywhere for S/S 07 and boyfriend fit for women also next year.

I do have the same point with most of you too which is that I don't like skinny jeans too and tight trousers also, especially those consist many holes. Yet, they are the trend sometimes or vogue of sometimes such as (80's, the jeans were all look like a pair of trumpet) However, they have no style and dosen't fashioned in my viewpoint. Besides, they aren't very convenient and comfortable when we walking for a long time.

For me personally there arent many trends that i just hate. Basically you should wear whatever looks good on you. whether it be skinny jeans or bootleg jeans. i never thought i would be able to pull off skinny jeans before but then i found a pair of morgan skinnys at delias and they fit me perfectly. basically its just what looks best on your body type.

trends that i see that really need to stop are:
the tight tight tight small spaghetti tanktops with those spandex pants and that plastic clip in the hair. its basically what you see at teen night clubs nowadays but in the day light. it just looks tacky in my opinion.

This thread has really made me laugh. Anyway, just on what has already been mentioned, I do like skinny jeans (although I don't tend to wear them much as I prefer dresses) and find them flattering, I also like skinny high waisted, they are also flattering and people always tend to ask me where I got mine from so they must look ok. I think curvy girls in high waisted skinnies look beautiful, very 1950's.

Anyway, on to what I hate: neon, logo vests/t-shirts, monogram logos i.e LV printed everywhere,hipster jeans that are too tight and too low (I don't even have to explain why), ballerina shoes with a cord bow, bootleg jeans, distressed denim, crocs, red and black worn together.. there's so much more but that's what instantly comes to my head.

Trends are trends and they are something that we will always have which makes the fashion buisness stay alive. My take on trends is shop in unique boutiques not department stores or chain stores. If your going to follow trends add your own personal style to make it your own so that it doesn't look like you couldn't pick out your own out-fit so you stole the one off of the maniquin! Find stores that carry your own style but don't be afraid to experiment with your own style, oh and NEVER EVER let someone talk you into buying something if you aren't comtorable when you put it on your going to look that way the whole time your wearing it. Buy something that immediately SCREAMS "BUY ME" !!!!!!

Donna Karan's collection managed to add an earthy feel to her collection by adding greens, creams and brown's amoungst the nudes, white's and grey's!
Her collection is a representation of the 'new york' woman, which is pulled off extremely well!
My fave of the collection is the White sleevless shirt with the beige hat! Which i have attached to this post! I didn't so much like the red sleevless shirt but it was a very welcome burst of colour! Donna Karan's collection managed to add an earthy feel to her collection by adding greens, creams and brown's amoungst the nudes, white's and grey's!
Her collection is a representation of the 'new york' woman, which is pulled off extremely well!

I am more daring than most people in what I wear as well...
Skinny jeans are great. Not everyone can wear them though, so I understand why people don't like them.
As for the whole gloves thing, I like gloves a lot. Long ones, colored ones, short ones, unique ones...and with the right kind of weather and situation, they can work. I like to mix "edgy" things (like leather gloves or a little leather jacket) with frills and other girly type looks.
But like I said, it's what works for you as an individual.

high-waisted pants are a definite no for me because i don't like the look of it. skinny jeans are fine as long as your body type permits it. however, i don't think that you need to wear high heels all the time for those. i think sneakers are still pretty sweet.

cowboy boots are yes and no. it depends. if it's too daisy duke-ish, then no. but i like the general craftmanship on Frye boots and they're so comfy and worth it.

leggings are also yes and no. i think that wearing leggings as pants that show your behind looks unsightly. but under a skirt, dress or tunic it looks fine.

I really hate High wasted pants, when I see a guy wearing this he looks weird, I think skinny jeans are belong to fashion trends today but it depends to their styles. I love skinnies the only problem some ppl have with them is that if you happen to be larger the jeans are no longer flattering . However I can't stand ponchos, guachos, and leather fringe boots. As far as I'm concerned those styles are the most ridiculous and unfeminine.

i can understand for tall girls but just go with it your legs will look ridiculously long and gorgeous! But i suppose sitting here being a little 4ft 10'' er i don't really have a choice. :)

My pet hate is crocs. I hate them with a passion. Why, oh why, were they invented? But things like skinny jeans, high waisted trousers/skirts and even cowboy boots to a certain extent, I love. Skinnies and highwaisted stuff especially, because skinnies ooze style and high waisted stuff accentuates your curves and makes you look taller and generally slimmer. High waisted stuff shouldn't be worn to hide a belly - it'll only make it more obvious.

I hate high waisted jeans too, unless you are Heidi Klum they won't look good! In my opinion cowboy boots never go out of style. I dont listen to when magazines decide western is in or out; I wear them whenever I see fit!

and skinny jeans are cute but they can be hard to pull off depending on your body type. I am curvy too but certain brands such as true religion make it easier to look flattering in skinny jeans :) nice stretchy fabric too

I freeking hate crocs....they ae everywhere in LA and frankly if you are gonna spend thatmuch on ANYTHING why not buy a nice shirt, pair of jeans, a cute dress, anything but plastic clogs.

skinny jeans can be tricky. they need to be very fitted and almost skin tight to look decent, especially if you intend to tuck them into your boots. i've seen this look done wrong waaay too many times and it makes me cringe everytime! especially some people who wear what's clearly bootleg styles and tuck them into their boots and they have that awful bunched up bulky look! ugh
