I've been told that silver/white eye shadows and sheer makeup looks best for pale skin, but because I have small, brown eyes, I always wonder if there's something darker I should choose.

pale shimmery eyeshadows can make you look more pale. as youve got brown eyes go for a lovely mid to dark purple as it will really compliment your eyes and add a flush to your cheeks.

To be honest with you, I have never tried purple before. I'll have to try that one out. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

Lately in the magazines, bold colours are in. I'm extremely pale with freckles, brown hair and blue eyes. I used three different eyeshadows--sounds like a lot but it didn't look like it--and I go soooo many compliments. I used a gold just over my lashes, a rose pink over the crease and a silver under the brow. I also penciled in my brows to be a shade darker. Everytime I spoke with someone they complimented me on my eyes.

#1 do you want to be pale?

if its a yes! then go for nice earth tones on your skin that would look best! Like nice browns, for your eyes , use black eye liner to show off your eyes then use nice browns or deep purples lightly on your eye lids. I have pale skin and thats what i did, and it looked great!!

If its a NO! then do what i did, i bought Jergens natural glow daily moisterizer it works great it gives me a nice subtle tan, fast! within 3 days i saw my porceline pale skin turn a nice model tan! Buy "jergens natural glow face" for your face and "Jergens Natural glow" for your body , within a few days you'll see a great difference but make sure you choose the right shade for yourslef when you go buy it look at the back and look at the color chart and match the one thats closest to your skin color ! (follow the directions on the bottle, or ask me any questions you might have)

Hope this helped!!
