I think that it is a preconcieved notion that men do not care about thier looks or fashion. From a young age, boys are taught that looking nice is a girl thing. Most men have their clothing purchased by thier wifes, girlfriends or mothers...I think that men's fashion and beauty regimines are becoming a bigger market now than in the past. Sites are geared toward women because that is who consumes the products, so that is who you advertise to. Watch television commercials. During sports shows you will have a hard time finding ads for stores and sales. During women's soaps you will probably not find ads for tools or trucks...manly things.

At first this website was totally pink but i toned it down and added shades of grey and a black logo in the top right. Need to get a another logo for the top left though, something more hip.

I totally agree with sisterparis. However I try and remain fashion consious and aware of my appearance.
I reckon I am adventurous as well and try and be a bit different, even for a 50 year old, {or nearly 50}
I think too many men just like to remain scruffy. Let themsefs go or get a beer belly.
Clothes are exciting, cheerful and attracting.
I shall continue to be a forum member and add my views and post replies.
Peter.

sometimes i really think that men dress in the dark, they can come up with a weird matching when they get dressed.

I think some men sleep in their clothes, as well as get dressed in the dark.
It's up to guys to get involved, I am no fashion expert but I enjoy chatting about my likes etc, what I waer and buy, and I love the replies I receive.

just started posting today and i'm addicted! so far i've put in the url for the site i work on with every post sort of as a signature, but i'm putting it in now as a reference of a site that is (hopefully :D ) directed at both men and women pretty well. i'd be curious if some of you out there agree/disagree!

Well of course girls are groomed from an early age to dress nicely to be proud of their appearence. Thats why I suppose.
But I am proud I care, I want too feel good and enjoy it. Its up to guys to be fashion aware, to try something different to be bold.
And to be involved.
I have said it before I am no fashion guru but I enjoy the involvement so be interested and the sites will change to accept men, but we have to be adventurous.
Pete.

i think the sites aim towards women because they think we like to shop, even if its not true!!!
there are lots of sites for men thou, you just have to look around. www.extremelargeness.co.uk has loads of leather cuffs and heavy silver jewellery which are aimed at men. have a look....

i think its because the world and people just think men dont care for fashion wich is untrue but maybe thats how people see it. also women clothes are more exciting and more talked about then men clothes. if you want to hear more about men clothes than just go read mens vogue.
