Thanks for your analysis. The reaction to Helen Mirren's Golden Globe dress has been universally favourable which leads me to wager (literally) that she'll remain loyal to Karan for the Oscars also.

In regards to the secrecy surrounding dress designer choices, I am really sceptical that it woud be possible to achieve this even if one wanted to, given the number of people necessarily privy to the information. Furthermore, wouldn't the designer want to derive maximum publicity value by announcing their selection as soon as possible?
