I am researching the much maligned over 50s market sector!
Any comments or opinions on the following would be much appreciated, however small.
Do you have any comments on the over 50s lifestyle? Hobbies, interests, pastimes?
Although the over 50s have the most significant sum of income at their disposal, do you agree that this market sector is often ignored by retailers? How?
Is fashion and appearance important to you? In what ways?
Do you think fashion retailers could do more to encourage the over 50s to buy?
Many thanks for all your help,
Claire Jeffrey

i reckon that the needs of what 50yr olds are ignored by retailers...survays with fashion retailers usually consider teenagers since they're always considered the fashions target market! but i think that over 50s lifestyle would be like a clam and relaxing point of their lives...and might be still working but also they would be trying to enjoy the many other things in life as well...

What an interesting post. This is my first reply. AND I am 50 this year.
I am 50 in July and try to keep trendy for a man. I think it's up to men and women to keep a good fashion sense.
Keep fit and slimish and you can stay trendy into an age of 50+, but you must be careful especially if your a women not to go over the top.
Fashion is for all ages, it's up to the individual.
We all have our own certain styles and we can build round those. I have mine and I have enjoyed the style with variation, and hope I look and stay looking great. Thanks.
PETER. :)

If you are in your 50's and take care of your self then go for it. who said that a 50 year old can't be in to mashions and look good too. Take a look at the kilt fashions, it's not just young guys who are wearing them and even skirts too.
