hey - 1st post, came here looking for some help, i am fashionabley inept! ok, i bought a really cute wraparound dress recently - black with little white dots all over, knee-length, ties with wrap belt, short sleeves a little way down the arms. my question is, i've been wearing it in the cold weather over trousers and with a cardigan etc but i'd like to know how it can be worn when it gets warmer...! or is it designed to be worn only with long trousers? when i wear it without trousers... it completely exposes me!
i think it'd look odd with another skirt underneath, also shorts or cropped trousers... so can anyone tell me how these dresses are supposed to be worn?
thanks!
emma.

Hey! Wear it with black leggings and ballet flats or black pumps and then add in some bright red accessories. That'd be fun!

I have a wrap around dress and wore it last week. the wind blew and my fiances family caught a good glimpse I think. It was really embarassing. but now i use this fashion tape, it holds fabrics togethor and I put a piece at the bottom of the dress where the hem line is a stuff and it keeps it togethor, then I jsut wear it with a pair of flips

I would say leggings or even boy shorts underneath would solve that problem very easily. I wore a short wrap/button up dress and wore black boy shorts underneath. Thankfully there was no worry about flashing the CEO when I was in a meeting because of that.

man, wrap dresses just sound like asking for a wardrobe malfunction. lol we should just call them a janet dress.
I thought of something else to solve this problem, if you really like just the dress and do not want to take anything away from it, Spanx would really help, they have like nude or black colored slips that not only conceal they smooth everthing out. that might be a good option?

I ALWAYS wear a pair of solid boyshorts with a skirt or dress of any sort. This is also smart to do with tights. That way, even if you do have a wardrobe malfunction, you'll know that nobody saw anything...and granny panties is just as bad as no panties at all.

Also, if you feel really bare with the dress on, try a nice camisole underneath, or pair some tights with it.
