Im trying to give myself more of a "vintage" look, and im not really sure how to start.

I can post a pic of myself if it makes it easier for people to give me advice

Wear smooth foundation, and make sure it's not orange or any darker than your skin tone! Make sure it's matte as matte too! And maybe pale pink blush just inder the cheek bones, then I'd say red lips (Orange if you're fair, pinky if you're brunette and darker red if you're darker skinned is best!) and just curled black lashes with a thin line of eyeliner on the top lid.

This has always worked for me to give that sort of pin-up girl look.

OK here are some ideas i catergorized them so you can match up your look with it.

Brown hair, Pale skin:

If you have brown hair and pale skin .Go vintage using red lipstick its the hottest rage right now, and brunnets look so vintage and classic with it, use foundation that matches exactly with your skin tone to give it that polished look. If you do dramatic eyes do just glossy lips NO COLOR!
And if you play up your lips with color then dont do too much with the eyes just eyeliner and mascara!

Brown hair, tan skin:

Do exactly what it says in "Brown hair, Pale skin" except you can use dramatic blush without looking like a clown doll. Remember long, full eyelashes are vintage.

Blonde, Pale skin:

Now you can do the classic marlyn monroe or christina aguilera, red lipstick and mascara and black eyeliner. Go easy on the blush. Full long eyelashes look wonderful! Again if you play up the eyes with dramatic blues and greens do not use color on lips or you'll end up looking like a clown!

Blonde, Tan skin:

You can do more variety of color to look vintage, pearly purple dramatic eyeshadow would look vintage. you could also wear red lipstick. Lots of eyeliner and mascara.

Any questions just ask!!!

The Bridgette Bardot look is in right now.

Looks best with either blonde or brown hair but everyone is beautiful.

Everyones already mentioned it:

Black liquid eyeliner across the upperlid, as close to the lashline as possible, then flick it out a bit at the edge of the eye.
Curl eyelashes and mascara.

try foundation or a tinted moisturiser either exactly the colour of your skintone or one shade lighter.
Try to go one shade lighter but only if you can blend it well.

then a powder, pressed looks better and if you've matched your foundation to your skintone, make the powder one shade lighter.

Then apply bright red lipstick (i think it looks best with an orange undertone but thats just me.) no gloss, the whole idea is matt.

It also looks good to put foundation over your lips so they are pale, this looks better for daytime, lipstick for nightime.

Ive gone on a bit, but if you want anything else just ask. :D
