What shoes look go with wide leg pants? Is it ok to wear flats that are not pointy? LOL.... I bought a new pair or wide leg pants but they need to get tailored. I'm short.
Should I tailor them for heels or shoes? Thanks!!

What kind of pants are they...dress, casual? What color are they?

They are Gap pants. Cream and thinking of getting the white or dark Grey. But I own so many Grey pants already...but then white gets dirty.....hmmm....
Anyway, back to topic, I would wear them mostly for work. Business / casual.
So I don't really need to wear heels. Right now I just wear sketchers with another pair of wide leg pants. Flats and you cant really see my shoe when I stand, only my toes. My boyfriend makes fun of me. LOL....
Should the shoes be peeking out? If so, how much? Do I really need pointy shoes? I would like the option for dressy and casual...ya know...while still being comfy! Thanks for your help!

I wear heels all the time since I am not very tall (I am way out of proportion,) so my opinion maybe a bit bias, but I would wear heels. They don't have to be pointy, but when I wear wide leg pants, that is usually what I wear, plus they make your legs look longer. I try never to wear flats because then my legs look really short. Wedges and chunky heels are in this summer, maybe you should tailor your pants to something like that. You could always have the tailor fit them with flats but leave the extra material in in the cuff so that if you needed or decided that you would rather wear them with heels you would have the material left on the pants. I have done that quite a few time with my pants.
As for the color, I am a black and white with a little burst of color kinda girl. I would definately get the white/cream color, I am a sucker for white pants.

If you get them tailored, you don't have to wear the cuff on the outside. My tailor folds the cuff in the inside.

And they just stay like that? Cause most of my work pants wont allow that. They would just fall out of the fold. The gap pant maybe. They are a stiffer material.

If your tailor sews them right they will stay like that. The need to be folded up into the pant first, then my tailor lady folds them down, sews them along the side seams. Sometimes if the material is not stiff enough, I have her put on little bit stitch in the front and the back just to hold, but you can't tell it is there. I have never had any problems with mine being done that way, even when I go to take the hem out.

While I am chatting with you already, you mentioned you wear heels all the time? How do you make pumps more comfy. I bought a pair of boots and they are 3 inchs high. They hurt the ball of my feet like a mo fo after a few hrs. I added sole padding but now they are tight. You think its just that my feet need adjusting to heels again? I haven't worn heels in years, except special occasions. Why is it that hot shows...like Steve Madden for example, are so rock hard?! Can't they add some kind of padding JEEZ.... lol

I wear heels everyday to work, today I have on 5 inch BCBG heels. Rarely do I ever feel pain in heels since I walk in them literally everyday, I seriously can't feel my feet. When I do have problems in them I use bandaids.
When the back of the shoe hurts my heel, I take a regular sized bandaid and put it on the inside of the back. It takes awhile to learn how to walk without the bandaid shifting but after that, piece of cake. You can't tell it is there and you don't have to walk around dragging your legs. You could also invest in a shoe strecher, they work too. (Or buy your heels a half size bigger then what you really wear.
For the ball of my foot or my heel hurting, I use the large padded square bandaids. They are thin enough so that your foot is not crammed in the shoe but the padding offers a lttle support. My mom has these Dr. Scholl's inserts for heels that she swears by, but a bandaid works find for me. If the bandaid is not enough padding, but a little cotton or gauze under it and try that, with this you are able to move the padding where you need it and where it feels confortable.
After wearing heels for awhile, you will get used to them again. I literally wear mine with everything. Dress pants, jeans, my Juicy track outfits, I feel naked without them.

i used to wear high heels all the time and i didnt have any problem then i stopped and started to wear flipflops and sneakers, when i went back to heels it felt weird, i couldnt walk and i didnt feel as comfy as i felt before, i thought its the shoes that i started to buy, maybe it was of bad quality although i paid alot for them..then when i started to wear them more often my feet started to get to it..i can run with high heels now :D

Hello! The second pair look just like mine! Mine may be just a bit looser and a slight bit wider! But thats is exactlly the style! :D
Although, leave suggestions for both, since I have both. The first one I usually wear flip flops.
I know, I know, I been taking the easy road for a few years. I guess I have to break out those pumps again...lol.
There was once upon a time where Steve Maddens were even comfy on me. You two girls have made me believe.... lol

eliza131, you know what you can do at the begining, take ur shoes off while you're in office, take them off whenever you can so you rest your feet, it helped me alot at the begining cuz i knew that it will take me time to get used to the high heels..
btw, those kind of pants suits pointy shoes. it looks nice on them..and try to get mid-high heels, it will look cute..

If you are short and wearing whide legs, you may want a heel with a slight point. This helps to lessen frumpiness (Not saying you are) and the heels with a point make your legs looks slender and longer. :) Just my two pence. :)
