i'm not sure how out of line it is to ask this question in a fashion forum, but since i am nowhere near being able to afford an authentic fendi spy bag, and the knock-offs in chinatown, nyc are really bad, i've been checking out various websites offering "replica" bags. has anyone ever purchased a good quality bag from an online vendor?

There are a lot of options out there, just be really careful if go the knockoff route. A lot of them are poorly stitched and tend to fall apart soon after you buy them. I would recommend sticking with a replica or inspired piece, rather then going for a knockoff.

yea i agree but its alwways better to check the stitches before you decide to buy it...just incase it falls apart. and getting a replica is always a good idea.

There are so many great bags that are not knock offs or replicas. Try a less expensive designer bag such as Fossil, I love their bags and clothing and they are great quality. Many of the bags are under $200.00 (USD) which is really nice. You could also try Guess or Lucky for bags that are lower priced designers.

Dont know how you would feel with a second hand bag but there are loads on there!

I just purchased a replica Spy at www.estylefashion.com. NO ONE knew the difference. I tried a few of their other items first. They are beautiful, and are not those horrible cheap ones that you can get on the street.

Its been a little while since this topic was left behind, but in case anybody is interested, I highly recomend www.sofiasreplica.com. They are quite good and service is exceptional. I bought a Chloe that is really a dream. Anyway, for replicas buying I suggest to stick to the simple designs and materials.

also, www.asos.com do quite good replicas of whatever celebrities are wearing. And it's really cheap. I just discovered it,some of it's a bit spurious but there are some bargains.

I would either go for something that is affordable and nice, or something maybe that is alittle more affordable and authentic. Knock off's and replica's are trouble and what's the point of getting a designer handbag that is not designer? Kind of an oxymoron, no? :confused:
Try looking at stuff that is nice, looks classy and is well made but fits your budget. People won't judge you for buying something like that but they will if you walking around with a fake.
