50's Glamour

Hi there,
I was wondering if you could throw a few suggestions my way regarding ball gowns and 1950's glamour.
My eldests school ball is coming up and the theme is 50's glamour, we want to create something very glamourous ...in a vintage way (make sense) but something that will suit her shape (she has a perfect hour glass figure)
Where do I look for ideas? (styles, fabrics etc.) do any of you have any links?

i have a really good internet website where they sell loads of 50's fashion you could also get good ideas aswell its called www.vintageous.com if she has an hour glass figure try some of the high waisted stuff off the 50's good LUCK!!!!!!
