Selling seasons

Hi, i f i was to be selling t-shirts and i was to be hitting up the right season how would i go about this? how far ahead do you plan and are the fahion buyers buying now? and for what season?

i dont know exactly what season they are buying for , ithink instead of shopping season by season they shop for trends and what is in 8)

Thanks, it makes more sense really. so heres my stupid question. who starts the trends and how come they already know about them? it makes sense that start them but how come fashion comes around again? i jusst dont get it. thanks for ya time!!! :D

i think any season is a good season for t-shirts... they are worn all year round. as long as your product is good and you market it right then you will be fine.

UR welcome fakehandshakes, trends spread around really fast on tv in mags or what peoplz are wearing walking down the streets. its part of a fashion buyers job to find out wats hot and in usaully celebs start a trend. weither its on the red carpet or in some hip hop music video people r sure to notice. and i have no idea why fashion trends make come back after comeback thats just the way it is!!!!!!! by the way thats not a stupid question i always ask dum things here and there about fashion 8)

sometimes they make me believe that fashion desinger have a quarterly meeting to discuss about trends without anyone know about it, and then they start spreading it, i know stupid thought..!!

celebs dont start trends, they got special designers and fashion advisors, most of the celebs dont pick up their clothes..if they ever did they will look as normal as we are..nothing glam in them..they're normal ppl like us but they got some ppl who show them the right steps to follow..

it's all about how you push the products and who you are pushing to. If you are trying to sell a line of clothing designed for skaters, then make sure that other skaters are wearing your label and that they are aware of its contribution to the skater community.

same thing with brands leaning towards the musician (i.e. Ubiquity). How will the designs impact the people into a certain style of music.


in other words, know your audience, t-shirts are good for every season. its just knowing how your designs can affect the audience.

yea I agree with Voodoo i think that knowing what your target audience wants, and how they want it is the most important criteria when trying to sell a product.

ithink its the way that the designers push it...and it will come into fashion if the critics and the buyers like it enough! But i also sometimes think that desingers go through a meeting together... :D

i've always wondered that! it has something to do with technology..i know that...ahh idk my mom found a book at barnes and nobel about it!
