I use Johnson's Body Milk for Dry Skin every morning, but my legs are always still dry. I'll look an hour after applying it and I have dry flakes on my legs. What should I do? Would a body scrub help?

i sometimes have the same problem..the only good solution that i do and it worked is that after taking a good shower i apply baby johnson oil on my skin while its still dry..and then i dap my whole body with a towel..it really soften my skin..
plus do you know that if you took shower with very warm to hot water it increases the dryness of ur skin? i didnt know that before but its ture..try to avoid warm water..and always use body oils..
scrubs is not a good solution but you have to do it once in a while to clean ur skin from dead skin..what you can do is take a moroccan bath..i donno if you know it or not..but its a full body scrubbing using morrocan bath soaps..its really amazing..!! and it cleans ur skin..use the one with extra care like they apply special soap and keep you in the sauna for about 15 min..and then you have to wash..of course before doing the moroccan bath you will also haveto apply special moroccan soap and stay in the sauna for about 25 minutes and then the lady will start scrubbing..
and final solution..DRINK ALOT OF WATER..your skin might be very thirsty..!! :D
hope i helped..!!

hmmmm definitely stay away from the scented bath soaps, those ingredients are irritating your skin.
another thing you should be aware of is that your faucet/shower might be letting out hard water causing the deposits to irritate your skin when warm/hot temperatures. the best way to check if you have hard water coming out of the bath is spray into a glass and see how long the foggy color takes to clear up.
if you have to have a warm/hot shower your next defense is what type of soap you are using. Pristine Skin Care (http://www.pristineskincare.com) is a good line of all natural soap that wont dry your skin up. i dont really have acne anymore, but their bar is still effective when it comes to moisturizing skin.
then if you really are struggling with dry skin after those ideas, you might want to try a product by kanebo called, "moisture milk" you can find it at your local japanese grocery store.
then you also need to take into you account......your diet! don't count calories. don't count carbs. don't count protein....just make sure everything is done in moderation. knowing that we are on a fashion board some of us will do things to make ourselves thin. doing so will make us thin, but also prevent nutrients such as protein from being transformed into amino acids to help the rebuilding of things such as our skin cells causing a peeling to occur before new skin is grown. i don't know the actual lifespan of skin cells, but they ddont last forever and if you dont have building blocks for ew ones then things can get hectic.
also watch your stress levels. too much stress can not only cause breakouts, receding hair, but also peeling skin. it is a mechanism the body uses to defend itself from foreign elements. too much stress on a certain area of the body can be bighly affected if there is too much stress going on.
hope this post helps you.

voguesque, that's weird whenever i ask an american or western gurl they dont know anything about the moroccan bath, its originally from Morocco, and its really good forcleaning the skin and especially the dead one..its very common in our beauty salons..ask for one..if you've never heard of it maybe its used under another name on your city..

sometimes i have dry skin too!! you should try to use a moisturizing body wash and then use baby oil or shea butter afterwards. they also have alot of oil sprays that you can use while your skin is still wet, those are great.

Yeah, I know what you feel. I have the same problem. I used baby oils,
moisturizers, crems, body milks etc. and it helps only for a while, in the evening my legs are dry again...

I absolutely sware by Body shop's body butter, for very dry or very very dry skin. I started using it about a year ago and I have to say I will never go back. It has a great range of smells, but more importantly my skin stay remarkably moisturized throughout the day! I have gotten several of my friends addicted as well and we all say that if bodyShop goes out of business we will need to go steal the recipe! Try it, lemme know!
