I don't think so because he's way tooo famous. My guess is that he'll put up his own production company.
I used to like him...love him when he first started but nowww he's just slacking. Seriously compare the movies when he first started and the ones he makes now and you'll see the difference. I don't the movies he makes now, it's like he doesn't put the same effort anymore.

Of course it's going to hurt him. The people who own the studios are the shareholders, and the movies is a business. He was costing viacom money, so they fired him.
This wasn't just a one off thing, it reflects the new attitude of the industry as a whole; no longer are they going to put up with prima donna stars as they did in times of old. The movies' industry is a business, after all.

I agree with edenb...it will hurt him in someway... but yes he is Mr. Cruise and stuff will probably still work out for him.
