Kate Moss to design for Topshop

Kate Moss is to design a collection for Topshop. I cant wait to see what she comes up with. What do you think???? :D

But isn't topshpo like everywhere?? There are tons of stores here in Sweden... ANyways, I just read that kate moss is doing a collection for topshop. I think she has a great style and I'm sure she'll do something nice. Soo nice, that ppl are probably gonna camp outside the store when the collection is released. Ít's always like that when H&M do these designer coop.... it seriously looks like some kind of concert. Insane!!

Its a shame because the head designer Jane Sheperdson who brought Topshop to the high street and made it such a success has left because of the hiring of Kate Moss who is getting paid a reported 3 mil. I'm sure Kate Moss will raise interest in the brand but that doesn't necessarily mean shes going to be good at designing clothes which sell.

i think kate will stick to a vintage design. She seems to adore the retro funk image, and that means it may be pricey. I dont think we wld expect her to make £7 vests!x

i saw her in a magazine and they were going on about hos uber-stylish she was... she had on a basic grey sweater, blue jeans and was carrying a brown bag. oh, the imagination, the creativity.

gimme originality any day.

So it comes as no surprise that Kate wont be designing her collection for Topshop, however what is interesting is the appointment of Katy England (creative director at Alexander McQueen) who’ll create the collection on Kate’s behalf. While the prospect of seeing what England has to offer is extremely exciting, it seems such a shame that Kate, a style icon of our times, either lacks the confidence or can’t be bothered to be fully involved in the project.

Even Sienna Miller, who’s faced a lot of criticism in her time for being an imitation of Kate, has taken an active role in her new label and Milla Jovovich who teamed up with Carmen Hawk, has stated in the past that she is always busy sourcing materials and finding inspiration for new collections.

If Kate has decided to lend her name to the project she should also lend her talent rather than take the credit for what will be Katy England’s finished product.

i'm surprised England agreed to it. although, it's a pretty fierce contract and the money will be immense.

Kate Moss' designs have been previewed in the latest issue of Vogue, but I still think that shes not a good example to have for young girls who will be dying to look like her as they rush into Topshop to buy her designs.
Just because she's famous why is her past allowed to be totally forgotten? She's well known for drug use (as is her boyfriend) and constantly seen in pictures smoking. Is this really a good person to have as an example to young girls?

I love Kate's style although i don't really see her as a role model or think it's right to do drugs or anything just because she does/has (?). And i doubt that other girls think it's ok to be doing it just because Kate has.

Anyways the pictures of her clothes in vogue look really good i think and was quite surprised. I really like the poppy print dress which is only £45 !!
