As many of all know, there are lots of different make up companies competing against each other to sell their make up to people. The make up brands I know of consist of MAC, Bobbi-Brown, Christain Dior, YSL, Red Earth, Benefit, Virgin Vie, Laura Ashley, Max Factor, Rimmel, Chanel, Givinchy. Was just wondering what everyone else veiws were on these make up brands and what everyones favourites are? My personal favourites are MAC and Bobbi-Brown.
Thanks

Some makeup lines are 99% quality, but I really think that certain products are best bought from certain lines. I am not a die-hard Lancome or Clinique or MAC or... fan, but I am a die hard fan of certain products.
Lancome juicy tubes <-- sooo glossy and sophisticated
benefit foundation <-- amazing dahling. i wear Paper Doll tone
Maybelline mascara <-- steal of a deal b/c it performs just as well as others
Stella powders <-- sooo light and soft
Paula Dorf concealer <-- I think that's what it's called... "The Magic Stick" for your undereyes. After a long night of drinking, this stuff IS magic.
Lip Fusion Plumper <-- This is like a push-up bra for me. I have such thin lips! I love this stuff! Except, I'm suspicious about the little tubes... I don't think they are the same, great formula as in the big one!! Am I crazy?
Well, those are some of my favorites.

Has anyone heard of Milani? It's cheap makeup but it's got great colors and isn't a bad quality. Good value if you ask me. Oh, it's found in department stores too. =)

The only decent eyeliner pencil i have found is by Bourjois. Its waxy and great. smudges when you want it to and not when you dont. Its fabulous!
I love wet and wild nail polishes.
I love natural collection as the products are great and cheap too
No7 lip glosses are nice as are ruby and millies but the best pen glosses are by NYC.
Rimmel does good lip glosses but they are rather sticky and theyve discontinued my fave shade.
Bourjois eyeshadows are fab and really shimmery and long lasting.
The only mascara to have is maybelline's great lash

I don't really wear much make up, infact, all I wear is mascara as I have quite long eyelashes.. and Meybelline's Intense XXL has always been the best .. Yves Saint Laurent mascara is brilliant aswell, but dries out in the tube very quickly, I probably only get to use a quarter of it before it dries out.

I mainly use Avon because my friend is a rep and I get overwhelmed with options in the store. But Avon don't have accurate lipstick/lipgloss colors in the catalogue so I buy tend No7 for lipgloss. I don't really like lipstick.

I love Chanel, absolutely love it. It stays on, applies well, its just great all around. I was looking through the new Lord & Taylor fall catalog and found a new eye shadow kit called autumn garden, that I have to have! I can't wait to go check it out this weekend, I heard the store has an amazing make up selection. Sweet.

Mac make-up is a great line, they hav a lot to chosse from and the staff are make-up artist themselves.
I buy alot from Mac, der colours a stronge and last, but the great thing is the person you buy it from gives you tips on how to make it last longer or bring out the best colour and most products hav more than one use. You may think you no how to work it but the play with the stuff all day and have sum fab tips.!!!

I'm not really brand loyal to anything specific. I think all make-up brands have something(s) that are excellent but never EVERYTHING.
mascara: Estee Lauder -- Projectionist! its not clumpy, volumnizes, and lengthens! Perfect for my thin, short Asian lashes.
eyeliner: Maybelline liquid eyeliner in dark brown -- its felt tip is excellent! not recommended for ppl who don't have steady hands though :(
eyeshadow: MAC eyeshadows are an obvious one! They got sooo many colours! But for the BEST shades and blendable shadows, NARS are unbeatable! The pigments are so fine and rich. However, it's best to get their make-up artist to teach you some tricks cuz the texture of their shadows can do a lot of different things for your eyes. More than you can imagine!
lips: Anna Sui shimmer lipsticks! they're like a 2-in-1, with colour and some gloss. The packaging is so pretty (a tubed flower) and it smells great. Dior gloss tubes are great too.
blush: Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse (I use the colour "coffee" or something like that). Its a SUPERB cream blush that makes your cheeks radiant and naturally flushed. It doesn't look fake or too "cakey"
foundation: I use Elizabeth Arden for my foundation and loose-powder (in translucent). They're always a perfect match for my skin, very light, and stays put all day.
Concealer: MAC studio-finish pot concealer. They're super creamy and thick so you can cover anything, anywhere! I suggest applying make-up base or some primer to ease in the blending (it can get tricky with its texture).
Highlighter: the NARS multi-use stick in Copabana (roughly that name). Again, NARS cosmetics uses really fine pigments, so the highlighting looks very natural and complementary to your skin.

Walmart makeup scares me. I don't trust it for some reason. I buy food there but ehh I'm iffy about that makeup. But any other time I use...Chanel. I don't know why I have a complete addiction. Probably because it's French. Also, Lancome. I'm in love.

I am actually wanting to find new foundation because I'm sort of tired of the liquid foundations. Does anyone try that powder, or that bare minerals foundation stuff? I'm just wondering what's a good brand and if it works better than liquid foundation?
I love Mac for lipstick. Bare Essentials for mineral foundation is amazing. Urban Decay for eyeliner and funky stuff, Pop for dark eyeshadow.
