hey everyone, I'm just looking for advice... I love make-up and I like putting it on, it's just that whenever I want to try something new, I find myself stuck with the black again, it seems to be the only color that looks good on me, I'm black so I don't like putting too many colors on my face but it WOULD be nice if I could try something different! I'm scared to try colors cause I'm scared of the results, or maybe I just don't know what colors work with me, but anw it comes back to me always going for the darker make-up (it's all about my eyes). Does anyone have any tips? Thank you

I'm also black, so let me give you some tips-since we have a darker skintone, we have the ability to wear rich jeweltones that will look awesome on our skin. Try using navy, amethyst, or moss green eyeliners and shadows on your eyes to them out-and, don't forget the mascara!

Try a liquid shimmer eyeshadow. Cargo makes some and so does Chanel.
You put it on lightly. The brush is like a lip gloss applicator. Blend it slightly with your fingers. It's great in the middle of the eyelid and up high to highlight. The colors vary—bright, dark, bold, etc. But they're sheer so your natural skin tone comes through, too. You won't look like something from a bad Ricki Lake movie.

i've seen white liner on black skin, which looks fabulous.
you can get away with gorgeous, autumn tones, like orange and gold.
