There are many 'trends' at my school. I find them annoying, and I was wondering are they the same at your school?
The trends at my school:
Vera Bradley- purses, lunch boxes, agendas, wallets, etc. I find the whole quilted pattern rather grandma chic.
Hollister Co- Good Lord! The girls at my school look like billboards. Frankly, I don't find Hollister to be quite 'fashionable'
Sperry's- The ultimate prep shoe in my opinion. Yes I thought they were cute at first, but not now after everyone has them
Ripped Jeans- Cool at first now they're tacky
Mini Mini Jean Skirts- They make girls look like floozies.
that's all I can think of right now.

You're perfectly right, all the girls at my school dresses that exact way. It's so annoying, I wish they would dress less trashy.

Big yes to the Vera Bradley bags and what not. I pity the poor dears for not realizing how mature (in the worst sense of the word) and generally tacky those bags are. Granny Flowerprints, 35 and up, please.
Hollister Co. rest with me in the same generally unsatisfactory manner that Abercrombie & Fitch does. But let the teens be teens. You don't see that label in most colleges, at least not in mine.
Ripped Jeans are, in my humble opinion, one of the most irrational and unattractive current denim trends. A little bit of tasteful ware and tear can complete the "look" granted, but gaping holes and and mangled materials are getting terribly old. A rip in a jean tells a story of its own, a "Denim badge of courage" of sorts, as is the currently popular paint-staining. Letting factory machinery do all the work...pssh, where's the fun in that? Earn those stripes!

I live in Malaysia and we have awful looking uniforms...
But the girls here have a terrible taste in fashion... Or sometimes they seem to try too hard. Most Chinese girls like to wear high fancy socks full of different colours and thei shirts all frilly and weird.
It makes them look super childish and not sophisticated. They look like they are trying to dress up as a more colorful version of French maids.
And their miniskirts have the most horrifying designs... I don't mind miniskirts as long as they look simple chic and practical. At the same time it makes you look mature and humble.
I don't know but sometimes Asian Styles and i don't click...

its the same at my school 2... uniforms...
but out on the streets the biggest "trend" that i see is super tight jeans...they look horrible... like a second skin almost... and i never think it looks good. the other thing is T-shirts that are too small.... can someone PLEASE tell me how that looks good? at all... i mean NO ONE wants to see ur stomach unless its pretty nice...and most gurls don't have nice stomachs... it just grosses me out. but hey what can i say they like it... i don't...

I never thought pre-ripped jeans were cool. I mean, I had some ripped ones, but only because I'd been wearing them forever and they actually wear ripped up. It's soo dumb to buy them already ripped.
I'm not at school anymore but people at my old school were pretty casual. Lots of overly cute shirts, (with like pandas in hot air balloons and hearts and rainbows, you know the ones, like from delias) cruddy cheap jeans from hollister, leggings, crocs. It's pretty unfortunate.
