I am more of matte color girl, so the whole metallic everything trend has been a bit of a disappointment.

Awww I love metallics. Although I am not a fan of gold I am a fan of all things shiny! Silver is a good friend of mine and I think you ought to find something in metallics you like before you diss the trend.
Aka my little collection of stuff I just bought, remember metallics come in colors too :)
