Being Open-Minded

My New Years resolution this year was to be open-minded and listen to new genres of music and artists that I would not normally listen to. When I got an internship at UMGD, I was so excited because this would be the perfect opportunity to actually achieve my resolution. I went to a meeting about a new artist named Mike Oldfield who is an electronica/ experimental artists from the UK. Usually I listen to more rock type music but I actually really enjoy this artist. I was given his new CD called Music of the Spheres and it is definitely the type of music that I could see myself listening to while relaxing, taking a nice warm bath after a long day at work. I am so glad that I learned about this artist and I can be open-minded to new genres of music to appreciate how amazing his music is.
