The National

I got my hands on their album Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers at the same time Alligator came out (which I got too). Most CD's I'll listen to non-stop for about 2 weeks after I get them and then throw a couple of best songs onto a playlist of mine. Not so with the National. I put all of Alligator and Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers on that playlist. All of the tracks are really, really strong on both albums. The all works together extremely well, and the lyrics are awesome too. I haven't gotten their new album Boxer, but I have listened to it and it's more great stuff, especially the song "Mistaken for Strangers." So do we have any other fans of the National here? They're on tour now, but unfortunately they're not coming through my city, Denver.

Here's their website and myspace:

Built to Spill

I really do not know that much about Built to Spill. I love their album You in Reverse, and yet I haven't explored any of their other stuff. Their stuff focuses much more on the music than the lyrics, and they have some great guitar parts. So I guess I'm just asking if there are any other BTS fans on here.
