MELISSA TAKES ON AMERICA!
MELISSA AUF DER MAUR will release her debut album 'AUF DER MAUR' on May 18 in the US.
The ex-Hole, and Smashing Pumpkins guitarist will also release her debut single 'Followed The Waves' stateside, on March 24.
Melissa has also revealed plans to tour the album in Europe later in the year. "Touring Europe is one of my favourite things to do with music, it is the greatest cultural exchange, all based on our mutual love of music. I am really looking forward to our own club tour we will be doing out here in April," she said on her official website.
On her recent brief tour of Europe, she commented: "Considering that the album isn't out and no one knows the songs yet, the audiences have been very attentive and enthusiastic. 'Followed The Waves', however, does get a cheer! This is a first for me, people singing along with one of my songs that has been living in my imagination and four-track world for so long."
As previously reported the singer, who is currently at number 35 in the UK single charts, will release the album on March 1 in the UK.
