the pixies (split in 93) are to reform!!!
they will do a european tour .
frank and the boys are set to make appearances at brixton academy and t in the park and may also do glastonbury and v2004!!
result hope time aint changed em!!

yeah it'll be cool, im sure it is for alot of older bands but then they have alot to live upto trying to get back to how they were just to impress

work out an average tour, how many dates, travelling between gigs, lighting rig, sound rig, they wouldnt own ANY of that anymore so its all rented equipt.

then security, travel, catering, crew, managing.
they are on the road for the fact that if it pulls off then the profit they stand to make would be worth it, your looking at well over 3 million pound stearling just for a 3 venue tour.

yup apparently metallicas summer sanitariun tour cost them money - due to the face whilr they were preforming at one venue their other road crew was setting up the next.

makes you really feel for the indie bands no wonder they sleep in vans and cars and cant give up thier "day jobs".

averge set up would be 3 road crews, rigging, de-rigging and stage crew

rigging would be one stop a head of the band, they would be setting up the gig for the next show, de-rigging will always be one step behind the band taking it down from the previous show and stage vrew would be the lighting guys, sound techices, the band would be there too, thats usually the day of the event and the day leading up to it.

basically bands like bon jovi, the stones, the big name bands have 3 full size stages at least for the one tour

u got it all wrong, ridies dont sleep in cars and vans, fuck that, they sleep in FULLY equipt coashes with wide screen tvs, fridges, baths THE LOT

its only thier hours that suck
and dont think do it for the love of the band, the money aint bad if you got some rank behind you
