with the revelation of these samples [I've been trying to find this list for awhile] this can either really make you appreciate what daft punk can do to sound, or really hate them, in the case you thought it was all original. i think that some of their songs are really genius [i.e. digital love] but I'm kind of disappointed by robot rock as i feel it's just a stolen riff. regardless, they will remain on my playlists :] what do you guys think?

I was disappointed by robot rock because it lacked the melodic aspects of their previous works like Harder Better Faster Stronger, Digital Love, Da Funk, etc.... and the funkiness of tracks like Harder Better. It seemed too... cold.

Interstella 9999 still makes me hard.
Most of the older DP stuff is too raw for me and the new stuff is too annoying. I find Discovery (and the remix CD) is the bestest.
I'm actually going to see them in July with Sebastian and Kavinsky at the LA Sports Arena.
I have to agree with you guys. You can say that i'm a little dissapointed in a couple of tracks but I will still give them a lot of credit for making the music to give it their unique sound.
Discovery was a fucking masterpiece, Homework was also solid and well Human after all was a dissapointment. I like the remix cd though. I've been trying to find the interstella dvd for a while now.

My first exposure to daft punk was the name-check in LCD Soundsystem's "Daft Punk is Playing at My House."
suffice to say, i'm a noob when it comes to Daft Punk. But I think the video for "Around the World" was tight.
