Emery is a post-hardcore/rock/screamo band from Seattle, Washington. They are signed to Tooth & Nail Records. Their biggest influence is surpringly Country music. They have released to full-length albums, "The Weaks End" (2004) and "The Question" (2005). They singles they have released are, in order: "Walls", "The Ponytail Parades", "So Cold I Can See My Breath", and "Studying Politics".
Personally, they are one of my favorite bands. The Tooth & Nail thing may keep some people from holding off for the Christian thing, but they don't portray relegian in thier lyrics and at concerts don't mention God (they do mention Country Music a bit though). Each of their full-length albums took a few listens to get used to them, but both won me over eventually. The use of two lead singers who share vocal time equally and an additional screamer is one of the best parts of the band. Their lyrics are also a big standout for the band, but the musicianship can't be denied either.
As a band, I give them an 8 out of 10.
For now this is just a thread on the discussion of the group, but I plan to enlarge this to a review of the band itself.

i find everything about this band to be average.
i like their music, but only a few songs are catchy enough to stand out in my mind.

Yuck Yuck Yuck. i really don't like this band. as allison said, they are average and it really turns me off. they fall under that catagory of average screamo that "hott topic punk" teenage girls are into

I knew about this band before they got signed to T&N- and this is one of the few bands that I don't brag that fact. I'm not a fan. "Walls" was a pretty good song, but other than that it's all the same.
Although I do brag about the fact that I have a song by Hawthorne Heights when they were named A Day in the Life. Freakin yeah.
But I only brag that to the scenester kids cause it makes their eyes pop. I try not to brag amongst equals. It's bad for me.

I have a lot of bizarre files on my computer. Like a band named Camden covering Kelis' "Milkshake".
Camden is a metal band. Just imagine "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yaaaaaaaaaard" in a death metal growl. I freaking love it.

You obviously havent heard of Ween... imagine what the following songs would be like: Spinal Meningitis (got me down), The HIV Song, Waving My Dick in the Wind, Japanese Cowboy, etc, and then they have myriads of other songs with seemingly normal titlres but equally as insane lyrics
Don't get me wrong though, they are one of my favorite bands

kind of like MSI?
kind of like MSI?
I'm not that familiar with MSI, but Ween is a band that has covered countless genres of music and is, I guess, one of those bands with a cult following. They have albums that seem to have a lot of rock (classic, new, alternative) influences, they have a country album, techno-ish stuff, etc, but they do it in their own creative, drug induced ways.
If you're interested, check out their album Chocolate and Cheese, or Quebec, in my opinion they are the most 'normal' but still with the Ween twist
It's a really hard band to explain

The last six posts have confused me. Not exactly confused, I'm just not sure why they have been posted in this thread.
