I'm a big fan of their album Deja Entendu - I find the lyrics amazing and the songs are also very well written... I've tried listening to their other album (Your Favorite Weapon) but I just can't get in to it like I do with Deja Entnedu

People are either Deja Entendu fans or Your Favorite Weapon fans. YFW was more fun, and more of a high talent pop-punk album while DE was an amazing musically minded album. I'm a Deja fan

I love both, actually, although I listen to Deja more often. The lyrics and songwriting in deja are just so much more interesting.

But 70x7 is still the quintessential break-up/bad friendship song. I love singing that song.

no PA dates either. Thought they are playing Rams Head in Baltamore. (Anyone on the east coast, if you can, go to the Rams Head, it is an amazing venue) but i'm going to be in Argentina when they play in Baltamore!

I just got "Fight Off Your Demos" yesterday. You can download the zip file of the nine tracks here: http://anarchyforsale.com/demos.zip

You can find the lyrics to the untitled nine songs here: http://www.songmeanings.net/artist.php?aid=7710

There's a lot of confusion over what these songs exactly are- when they were found/released/leaked last january, they were marked "Songs that Probably Won't Be On Fight off Your Demons". It's been speculated that the band released these nine tracks because they had so many good songs that they wanted to release the junk to tide over hardcore fans till the album came out. This is the optimistic fan's view.

The pessimist's view is that these are a leak of most of the songs on the album, in demo form. This view is supported by the fact that "Untitled 8" was revamped into a song called "Yeah", which you can watch a performance of in a youtube video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iljmACJdhA . Watch out....it kicks in. And it's awesome.

Also supporting this idea is that Untitled 5 was rumored to be named "Cleanser", and the band acknowledged that there was a song named "Cleanser" on Fight Off Your Demons. The band says that "Untitled 5" and "Cleanser" are two different songs. No one knows for sure.

All I know is that these demos kick a lot of bum, and they're a lot more consistent than Deja Entendu in mood. The rock ones are less abrasive, and the mellow ones aren't as dejectedly sad, although there are some genuine kickers in there that just sob. A lot of people hear morrissey influences, as well as Men, Women and Children influences.
