I'm borrowing a person's iPod, and they have both Tell All Your Friends, and Where You Want To Be on it. I've listened to Where You Want To Be once fully, and I think that they're pretty bad. I still have to listen to Tell All Your Friends though.

Tell All Your Friends was one of the best emo records put out. then John Nolan left and the band went to hell

im gonna have to disagree with you...fred and matt stepped in and filled cooper and nolan's shoes well...fred's melody vocals have gotten the band to where they are now

no the band was popular because of Tell All Your Friends. the band is still riding the wave of the "John Nolan Era" the song structures have gone so far downhill, allowing teenage girls to enjoy the music. making them popular.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to second what you said here. Tell All Your Friends is one of my favorite albums of all time. To Where You Want to Be is..eh. Okay. Good but definitely lacking that "something" that they had on Tell All Your Friends. And then Louder Now? Don't get me started. It sounds like TBS TRYING to sound like TBS and failing miserably.

No, right on. But that still sounds harsh because it's so sad lol.

That's the best way I've heard it put yet.

They havent been good since John Nolan left.
Breaking Pangea = Good
Old TBS = Good
Straylight Run = bad
New TBS = bad
why cant we just go back to the good old days (plays Great Romances of the 20th Century.)

I guess I just don't like the whole TBS sound because I can't get into "Tell All Your Friends" that much either.

this coming from the kid who called me during the summer of 03 saying "OMG, John Nolan's new band is amazing" and then made me listen to all 6 songs over the phone!

...as much as i hate to admit it...true. In my defense i was 13 in the summer of 03, and i listened to Dashboard, so all of my musical opinions from that time are moot.

Personally I love TBS's new album. I didn't really like a lot of their older stuff, but their new album I cannot stop listening to. Make Damn Sure is such a catchy song, it was a great song to launch the album on. I feel Tell All Your Friends and Where You Want To Be were mediocre albums, but Louder Now stands out.
I actually enjoy all 3 of their albums, more so the first 2 albums. The 3rd one is ok.
