I love Imogen Heap and so should you. Most people don't like her at first (unless you already like the genre), but later say she grows on you. She has a MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/ImogenHeap, if you want to check her out. I recommend you do so and come back here and tell me what you think (good or bad).

!!

I enjoy Imogen Heap, alot!

Based on the songs from her MySpace profile, if your a fan of Laurie Anderson, who was commonly known for "O Superman" I recommend you check out Imogen Heap's song Hide and Seek. You'll love it. It's a beautiful song.

And then I recommend listening to Headlock for fans of Frou Frou. Alot of my friends tend to ask me "Is this Frou Frou?" when I am playing this song.

Take a listen to Imogen Heap!

I couldn't have said it any better. And I'm happy to hear that someone else knows who Laurie Anderson is! She was really big in the UK, but not in the states. How would you categorize Laurie Anderson or Imogen Heap?

Experimental pop? I have no idea. I suck at genres.

I think she's great, what a voice. I loved her work with Frou Frou!

This is quite interesting sonically. It sounds like there are many vocal layers of overdubs. It also sounds somewhat autotuned though.

I like this, but it would probably be very distracting if I were studying. If you care to delve into some "post-rock" study music à la Sigur Rós, try Explosions in the Sky. You can buy some albums on iTunes. Very interesting stuff musically, but also easy to tune out as there are no lyrics.

Oh, and they have a Myspace page, too: Explosions In The Sky on Myspace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads (http://www.myspace.com/explosionsinthesky)

I like her! But it's true, I can see why people would have a hard time understanding her music.
