View Full Version : Your favorite soundtrack?

I was wondering what you guys' favorite soundtrack was, whether it be from a movie, game, etc..

I don't know if any of you guys played Half-Life 2, but the soundtrack to that was awesome in my opinion. It was techno-ish but it was really heavy hitting and set the mood for the game perfectly. Also, although it may seem cheesy, the Office Space Soundtrack, that movie introduced me to some kick-ass rap songs

And for the real winner... well since I'm such a big Floyd fan, The Walls soundtrack is of course my favorite soudntrack for a movie - but nothing can really compare to that, so I figured I'd let you in on the other two as well :p

My all-time favorite sound track is from O Brother, Where Art Thou?.

I love the classic country style of the music, and the modern renditions of the older stuff.

I don't think you can like modern indie and not be in love with Garden State, both film and soundtrack.

Garden State.
I love those two, but my favorite has got to be Moulin Rouge. Gotta love the Love Medley!

Never watched moulin rouge- heard mostly negative reviews or i heard hardcore addicted reviews.....i usually don't get involved in anything that polarizing.

This is an interesting question. I'm a big fan of all of the Final Fantasy music. Uematsu Nobuo is a compositional beast, let me tell you. Forrest Gump had a really good soundtrack as well. Lots of good songs from all of the sixties and seventies.

Gotta love that victory song!!

Just kidding, I know there's a lot of quite good music in those. I especially noticed it in FFX- like that one scene where Tidus and Yuna (I think that's what her name was) are in the water, chillin, makin out, you know....that has some good music in it.

The soundtrack from The Life Aquatic is amazing...

Ping Island is the best song to wake up to..haha and David Bowie in portuguese? You just can't beat it.

I think I've seen Annie too many times at a young age for me to be scared by it forever... but The Lion King, as I recall, was cool

I think all I ever listened to was disney soundtracks until 7th grade (Catholic school brainwash ---> music is EVIL! Listening to madonna will send you to hell!!) And of course I still have all the cds; I can't part with anything- not even *gasp* Ace Of Base. You're probably too young to remember them though!

Lol nope, I never listened to them but I certainly have heard of them.. the guy in my avatar is at least 20 years before them :P

Oh yeah, didn't I sing an Annie song before?

I've got a few. I loved the Amelie soundtrack, probably one of my favorites of all time. If you've heard of Yann Tiersen, then you'll know what kind of music on the Amelie soundtrack. Different from what I normally listen to, but it's a really nice change.

The Lion King is one of the greatest movies/soundtracks ever. :D

I love any horror film/game soundtrack. The Silent Hill (both games & movie) soundtrack is awesome. The Matrix soundtracks are great too... Resident Evil soundtracks are good (although I don't really like the movies). There's a lot more that I can't remember.

:D I feel more normal now. hehe. I still have all of the ones I bought back in the day. I used to play "A whole new world" on the piano over and over and over until my brother cried. I still love that song.
I also really like the soundtrack from Anastasia, but I think I'm partial to it because we played it in band in high school.

"Once Upon a December" is an amazing song. I didn't really like the movie, but the music was just fantastic. I can't listen to "Once Upon a December" anymore though. It reminds me of my most significant ex-girlfriend :(

After seeing Good Will Hunting for the first time not too long ago I'd probably add that to my list just because all of the Elliott Smith tracks on it.
