I totally forgot about this masterpiece. I was browsing some files, and I came upon a song titled "Eric Clapton - Spanish Piece", so I figured I'd give it a listen. Turns out, it was an acoustic-only version of Mason Williiams' Classical Gas.

Now, I'm fairly certain that it's not Clapton playing it, but its a great piece nonetheless. This song has jumped immediately to the top of my 'Songs-to learn' list. I had learned it a while ago, but I think it's time to brush up on it again.

Anyone ever heard it?

I havent but I'm checking it out right now

I'll edit this post once I listen to it

EDIT: I know I've heard this somewhere before, but where? Hmm.. either way, the song is great - the tune is extremely catchy

Mason Williams, created a perfect blend of guitar and orchestra that has been recorded by over hundreds of artists including guitar legends John Williams, Chet Atkins and Glen Campbell. It's been arranged for hand bells, ukulele, harp and an amazing number of other instruments. Classical Gas has found its home on-screen as well. It has become the perfect baby boomer soundtrack for dozens of films and TV shows.
