Right now, purevolume is down *shakes fist in anger* but once it comes back up, everyone should check out Devar-Toi (http://www.purevolume.com/devartoi). I really like their sound- it's a mixture of mellow stuff and then some really heavy stuff. They make long songs, too- which is pretty cool.

yeah. www.purevolume.com/Devartoi

Eight Paths Midnight Catharsis - In the beginning I was like, wow, this sounds amazing... it was really building, like it was leading up to something huge, but when the vocals came in I was somewhat disappointed. They didn't transition particularly well, so although it is 'huge,' it just comes across wrong in my opinion. The backing track to the vocals keeps up with the building type music though, which I like, and the vocals seem pretty solid as well. Overall the song was good, but they could definitely do some work on it

Comfort - A nice mixture of singing and screaming, and again the song leads you to believe that something else is coming, that something is changing, so it leaves you on the edge of your seat. Sometimes in this song it seems like the screaming could be replaced with singing to keep it constant with the beginning of the song (I think I'm just partial to a really smoth mixture :p)

Thats all I have time to listen to now... I hope they get some better recordings up sometime though, they seem like they have a lot of potential

...yep. I agree with pretty much all of that, except the smoothness, cause I like the jaggedness. But that's just me.
