Okay, so everyone has a list of bands they want to see before they die, right? Or am I just super anal-retentive and morbid? ;)
Who are your MUST SEE's?
Mine:
Rush (anytime they are here, even though I've technically checked them off)
Opeth
The Rolling Stones
Jimmy Buffett
Iron Maiden (see Rush comment)
Aerosmith
Bon Jovi (I'm from Jersey, sue me)
Pink Floyd (ha I doubt that will happen, but one can dream... I'd still love to go to a Gilmour show though)
The Babyshambles (for the love of The Libertines, you know?)
Electric Light Orchestra
The Mars Volta
Tool
There are a ton of shows I would love to see, but if I had to choose from all of them I would choose the above 5

Radiohead
System of a Down
Brand New
Damian Jurado (Rehearsals for Departure-era)
I've been lucky enough to see a lot of the bands I really wanted to, so these are the huge ones that don't come to Oklahoma. I'm seeing Coldplay Feb 27, though!! SO excited for that.
Saw 'em:
Death Cab for Cutie

I seen a few bands, but my wish list is as follows:
Pink Floyd (Fat chance)
The Libertines - (I'm hoping they will eventually sort it out and get back together, almost as slim as seeing Floyd.)
Stone Roses ( I'm pushing it)
Kraftwerk
The Arctic Monkeys would have been on the list but I managed to get tickets today.

My boyfriend saw Billy Talent at Vans Warped Tour and he said they were really good.

Brand New
I have no idea what type of show Brand New would put on.....their old stuff is so different from their new stuff, and their new stuff isn't very 'rockin'.....it'd be interesting to see what they do. Definitely on my list of bands to see.

I'm hoping to see Radiohead on their next US tour in support of whatever their album is whenever it comes out. If I have to go to Dallas, I will.
Adding Sufjan Stevens to my list

It would certainly be interesting considering he plays a lot of the instruments on the albums (I believe)... and even if he was able to get all the people he needed to play all the songs properly, at that point I think they would run out of stage.

yeah, he might do something like Keller Williams (a guy you need to check out) he plays all the instruments on his albums so he takes a sound board on stage with him, plays the part, loops it and layers other instruments on.

The Electric Light Orchestra
The Kronos Quartet
The Mahavishnu Orchestra (if they ever have a reunion, I'd consier selling my soul to go)
Mettalica (for their old stuff)
Slayer
The Hornheads (anyone other than me ever heard of them, btw?)
Could go on forever, but those are some of the tops

Where I live when I'm not at college (Albany, NY), DMB comes around at least a few times a year.. or at least that is the way it seems. I've never seen him though because frankly I can't stand his music, but to each his own
